المستخلص: هدف البحث إلى التعرف على مستوى الوعي البيئي لدى الطالبات الجامعيات في المجتمع السعودي، واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي بأسلوب المسح الاجتماعي، وتم تصميم استبانة استهدفت مجتمع الدراسة من طالبات جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية، وبلغ حجم العينة المستجيبة (٣٠٣) طالبة، حيت تم اختيارهن بأسلوب العينة العشوائية. وتوصلت النتائج إلى أن أفراد العينة من طالبات الجامعة لديهن وعي بيئي كافي فيما يخص عوامل التلوث البيئي المتعلقة بمصادر الحياة والطاقة، وعوامل التلوث البيئي المتعلقة بحماية البيئة من تلوث الهواء، وعوامل التلوث البيئي المتعلقة بحماية البيئة من الأغذية الملوثة. وتبين أن أفراد العينة من طالبات الجامعة لديهن وعى بيئي نسبى أو متوسط، فيما يخص عوامل التلوث البيئي المتعلقة بحماية البيئة من التلوث الضوضائي، وفيما يخص عوامل التلوث البيئي المتعلقة بحماية البيئة من الزيادة السكانية. واتضح أن أفراد العينة من طالبات الجامعة لديهن وعي بيئي كبير فيما يخص حماية البيئة الناتجة عن تلوث المياه. واتضح أن أفراد العينة من طالبات الجامعة يتبعن السلوكيات البيئية المناسبة للحفاظ على البيئة المحيطة بهن بشكل كبير. واتضح أن مشاركة أفراد العينة من الطالبات بالأنشطة الجامعية البيئية التطوعية في جامعة الإمام محمد بن سعود الإسلامية ذات مستوى متوسط. وكانت أهم معوقات العمل التطوعي افتقاد الدعم المادي (المسؤول). وعدم تقدير جهود المتطوعين بسبب الأنظمة الروتينية التي تحد من الاهتمام الفعلي بالجهود التطوعية لحماية البيئة.

This study aims in general to the identification of the environmental awareness among academic students at AL- Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, The researcher used in her study the social survey method , and the questionnaire was designed as a tool to achieve the desired goal of the message, and about the study sample was included (303) student, was selected through the sample by chance. The study found that the sample of study from students of the university have environmentally conscious enough on the risk factors of environmental pollution on the sources of life and energy, also the environmental pollution for the protection environment from air pollution, as well the environmental pollution for the protection of environment from contaminated food, and that the sample of the study from students have an environmental awareness and it was relative or average (not high) with the environmental pollution for the protection environment from noise pollution, and with environmental pollution for the protection of environment from population growth. It turned out that the sample of study of students from the university have a large environmental awareness regarding the protection of environment resulting from the water pollution. and it became clear that the sample of university students have good, and high knowledge in the concept of environmental pollution and its meaning .and it became clear that the sample of university students have an average understanding of the factors of environmental pollution .and it became clear that the sample of students from the university they follow appropriate environmental behaviors to preserve the environment around them, and that was in the large and high shape .and it became clear that the participation of members of the sample from the university students of voluntary environmental activities at AL-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University have a mediate level.
