المستخلص: This study aims to present the relationship between the university professor's performance and his contribution to the quality of higher education. Whenever those responsible for the higher education and scientific research sector provide suitable conditions for the university professor's working in the performance of his duties, the latter has a positive reflection in the promotion and quality of higher education. Paying attention to the quality of higher education is no longer a motto adopted by organizations; it has become a requirement more than a necessity to meet the renewed and multiple challenges facing every nation looking for progress and development.

L’objectif de cette étude consiste à mettre en évidence la relation liant l'exercice du professeur universitaire de sa mission et sa contribution à promouvoir la qualité de l’enseignement dispensé, car la distinction de l’enseignent se ressent et palpable, dès lors que les responsables sur le secteur de l’enseignement supérieur et la recherche scientifique lui réunissent les conditions favorables et incitatives à l’accomplissement de son oeuvre, cependant confrontés à une volonté qui réclame le progrès, l’intérêt qui doit lui être accordé doit se départir des slogans adoptés par les organisations.

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى عرض العلاقة بين أداء الأستاذ الجامعي ومدى مساهمته في جودة التعليم العالي، فكلما وفر القائمين على قطاع التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي الظروف الملائمة لعمل الأستاذ الجامعي في أداء مهامه كان لبذا الأخير انعكاس إيجابي في ترقية وجودة التعليم العالي، لأنه لم يعد الاهتمام بجودة التعليم العالي مجرد شعار تتبناه المنظمات، بل أصبح مطلبا أكثر من ضرورة لمواجهة التحديات المتجددة والمتعددة التي تواجه كل أمة تبحث عن الرقي والتطور.
