المستخلص: The article subject deals with an evaluation study on the establishment of preventive archaeology in Algeria, and is an attempt to identify it in legislative texts, in particular, the Act No. 98-04 on the protection of cultural heritage. Could Algeria have a share in the future in searching for mechanisms to support the implementation and realization of this strategy as well as expediting the completion of the national archaeological map as an effective tool in managing the archaeological heritage, especially in the institutions responsible for doing so and that support the implementation of preventive archaeology operations on the ground?

يتناول موضوع المقال على دراسة تقييمية في مجال إرساء دعائم علم الآثار الوقائي بالجزائر، ومحاولة تحديد هويته في النصوص التشريعية نخص بالذكر قانون 98- 04 المتعلق بحماية التراث الثقافي، وهل يمكن للجزائر أن يكون لها نصيب مستقبلا في البحث عن آليات دعم تطبيق هذه الاستراتيجية وتحقيقها، وكذا الإسراع في إنجاز الخريطة الأثرية الوطنية باعتبارها الأداة الفعالة في تسيير التراث الأثري خاصة لدى مؤسسات المكلفة بذلك، وكذا الداعمة في تنفيذ عمليات علم الآثار الوقائي على أرض الواقع.

L'objet de cet article est une étude d'évaluation des bases de l'archéologie préventive en Algérie et de son identification dans les textes législatifs, notamment la loi 98-04 relative à la protection du patrimoine culturel, et la participation de l'Algérie à la recherche de mécanismes pour la mise en oeuvre de cette stratégie. En plus d'accélérer l'achèvement de la carte archéologique nationale comme un outil efficace dans la gestion du patrimoine archéologique, en particulier dans les institutions chargées de cela, et le soutien dans la mise en oeuvre des opérations de la science de la Terre sur le terrain.
