المستخلص: تسعى الجامعات إلى تحقيق الجودة التعليمية بها، ويعد عضو هيئة التدريس من أهم الركائز الأساسية للجامعة، ومن ثم جودة أي جامعة تقاس بما تمتلكه من أعضاء هيئة تدريس ذات كفاءات مهنية عالية، وأن من أصدق المحكات في التعرف على امتلاك عضو هيئة التدريس الكفاءات المهنية اللازمة لتحقيق الجودة هو رأي الطلاب، وهدف هذا البحث تحديد الكفاءات المهنية اللازم توافرها في أعضاء هيئة التدريس كمطلب أساسي لتحقيق الجودة، وتشخيص واقع توافر الكفاءات المهنية لدى عضو هيئة التدريس من وجهة نظر الطلاب، ومن ثم الكشف عن أبرز نقاط القوة، وتحديد أبرز المعوقات التي حالت دون الأداء المهني الفعال، مع اقتراح آليات لتحسين الكفاءات المهنية لعضو هيئة التدريس من أجل تحقيق جودة التعليم بكلية التربية، جامعة الإسكندرية، ولتحقيق ذلك تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي من خلال تطبيق استبانة تتضمن معايير ومؤشرات الكفاءات المهنية التي يمتلكها عضو هيئة التدريس على عينة عشوائية من الطلاب، أسفرت نتائج التطبيق عن تحقيق الكفاءات المهنية التدريسية الأكاديمية بدرجة عالية، وقصور في الكفاءات المهنية الاجتماعية والعلاقات بين الطلاب، وقصور في استخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة في التدريس، واستخدام طرق تدريس تقليدية، كما أوضحت النتائج وجود فروق بين الطلاب في الفرق الدراسية المختلفة، وتم تطبيق استبانة أخرى لتحديد أبرز المعوقات التي حالت دون الأداء المهني الفعال، وآليات مواجهة هذه المعوقات من وجهة نظر أعضاء هيئة التدريس، ومن أبرز التوصيات ضرورة تبصير ووعي عضو هيئة التدريس بالكفاءات المهنية اللازمة لتحقيق جودة الجامعات، وضرورة التقويم المستمر لهم، وإعادة النظر في مصفوفة البرامج التدريبية التي تقدم لأعضاء هيئة التدريس وتغيرها حسب نتائج تطبيق الاستبانة على الطلاب.

Universities seek to achieve educational quality. The faculty member is one of the most important pillars of the university. Therefore the quality of any university is measured by its own faculty members with high professional competencies. One of the perfect methods to identify (if) the faculty member possesses the professional competencies necessary to achieve quality is the opinion of students. This research aims to identify the professional competencies required for faculty members as a prerequisite for achieving quality, diagnose the reality of the availability of professional competencies among faculty members from the students' point of view, and then reveal the most prominent strengths and identify the most prominent obstacles that prevented effective professional performance. It also aims to propose mechanisms to improve the professional competencies of the faculty member in order to achieve the quality of education at the Faculty of Education, Alexandria University. The study used the descriptive-analytical approach by applying a questionnaire containing the criteria and indicators of professional competencies possessed by the faculty member to a random sample of students. The application results showed a high degree of achievement of academic teaching professional competencies, deficiency in social, professional competencies and relationships between students, and deficiency in using modern technology in teaching, and the usage of traditional teaching methods. The results also showed that there are differences between students in different study years. The study also applied another questionnaire to identify the most prominent obstacles that prevented effective professional performance and mechanisms to address these obstacles from the point of view of faculty members. The most prominent recommendations include the need to inform the faculty member of the professional competencies necessary to achieve the quality of universities, the need for their continuous evaluation, and reviewing the matrix of training programs offered to faculty members and changing them according to the results of the application of the questionnaire to students.
