المستخلص: Grammar and syntax are not example of being alike. Grammar is not aiming at including only the rules of language for forming words or joining words together in sentences, but it is used to include every field of language giving fixed ways to describe everything which is concerned with language. Each rule can describe every situation of language. Everything is likely to be subject to certain rules and these rules can be expressed by language(Ross, 1967: 7) Syntax has represented only a particular case in that it deals with the distribution of word – forms throughout the well – formed sentences of language. This term is characterized by having a unique property with a sentence and never deals with everything other than it. Although, both grammar and syntax may overlap to some extent; part of one covers part of the other, they likely to cause a contentious issue. It is difficult for a learner to recognize the difference between them. This study aims at identifying a specific way to show the learner the absolute differences between grammar and syntax that he never heard before. It is hypothesized that grammar and syntax are used in English, yet they are conceived differently . In conclusion, the study is going to have a particular way of thinking about grammar and syntax that makes a learner think or say that grammar is not the same as syntax . Five points of view need to be considered in order to see how grammar and syntax are different . These points are also specified to be our data .
