|a يدرس البحث قضيةً تاريخيةً مرتبطةً بحيزٍ زماني ومكاني معينين، ألا وهي دور زيارة الأربعين في التواصل مع قضية استشهاد الحسين عليه السلام بوصفها اختصرت كلمة الشهيد لدى جزء كبير من الموروث المقدس الإسلامي بشخص الحسين عليه السلام الذي نذر نفسه للحق والحقيقة، وقد حاول البحث وضع مقاربةٍ توضح محاور الدراسة: يبدأ البحث بالتعريف في معنى الزيارة وارتباطها بالعتبة، مظهراً قدسيتها بوصفها باباً يربط العالم البشري الدنيوي الفاني بالعالم النوراني الذي يتجاوز حدود الزمان والمكان، ثم ينتقل لبيان منزلة الحسين عليه السلام وبعض من صفاته، لنصل إلى تحول الزمن من لحظة تاريخية تتجاوز تاريخيتها إلى العود الأبدي المطلق، وتحول المكان من حيز جغرافي مسمىً بكربلاء إلى مزار مقدس تحييه شعائر زيارة الأربعين في العشرين من شهر صفر من كل عام. ولعل المنهج الوصفي المشفوع بالتحليل يكون الأمثل في مقاربة الموقف التواصلي للشعائر المقدسة لزيارة الأربعين، كما استعان البحث بالمنهج التاريخي لضرورات فرضتها طبيعة البحث في تتبع بعضٍ الأحداث المرتبطة باستشهاد الحسين عليه السلام وبالزيارة.

|b The research studies a sanctified historical case which is related to specific spatio-temporal sphere; it is the role of commemorating the Fortieth-day Visit in the interconnection with the case of al- Husayn’s Martyrdom (peace be upon him), This cult enwraps the Islamic holy heritage of the word Martyr in the person of al- Husayn who dedicated himself for rightness and truth (peace be upon him), The research thus endeavours to establish an approach illustrating the pivots of the study. The research begins with defining the meaning of the Visit and its association with al- ‘Atabah, It demonstrates the latter’s sanctity as a gate between the finite physical earthly sphere with its infinite luminous counterpart which transcends space-time limits, After that, the research manifests the elevated status and some characteristics of al- Husayn (peace be upon him), At this point, we reach the transmutation of time from being a historical moment to the infinite eternal return; we reach the transformation of space from being a geographical sphere named Karbalāʾ to a holy shrine commemorated every year on the 20th of Safar by rites of the Fortieth-day Visit, The research, in this light, seeks to show the impact of these aspects on Man and society. Perhaps the combination of descriptive and analytical methods could be the most appropriate way to approach the interconnective holy rites of the Fortieth-day Visit, The research depends as well on the historical method due to necessities imposed by the nature of the study which traces some incidents related to al- Husayn’s martyrdom (peace be upon him) and to the Visit.
