المستخلص: يعتبر الشباب المكون الأهم في سكان الدول، إذ يمثلون مصدر قوتها اقتصاديا، وسياسيا، وعسكريا، كما أنهم يساهمون في تجدد السكان ونموهم، ولذلك تعاني بعض الدول التي تنخفض نسب الشباب بها من ظاهرة التشيخ السكاني، والتي أعتبرها الباحثون في جغرافية السكان خطراً وجوديا يهددها. تمتلك مصر ميزة سكانية تتمثل في ارتفاع نسبة السكان الشباب بفئاته العمرية المختلفة، ولهذا جاء هذا البحث لدراسة ديموجغرافية شباب مصر في الفئة العمرية (15-٢٩ سنة) الذين تبلغ نسبتهم 27% من جملة سكان مصر عام ٢٠١٧، على مستوى الجمهورية ومحافظاتها خلال الفترة (١٩٨٦-٢٠١٧)، بما يسهم في معرفة خصائصهم والاستفادة منها في خطط التنمية المستدامة في مصر. وقد تم دراسة تطور أعداد الشباب ومعدلات نموهم خلال الفترة (1960-2017)، أضافة إلى دراسة وتحليل التوزيع الجغرافي للشباب في محافظات مصر باستخدام بعض أساليب التحليل المكاني (المركز المتوسط -المسافة المعيارية .....) بهدف معرفة أثار ذلك التوزيع وانعكاساته على عمليات التنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية في مصر. كما تم دراسة بعض الخصائص السكانية للشباب (15-29 سنة) مثل نسبة النوع، الأمية، البطالة، بما يسهم في تقييم وتقويم هذه الخصائص ليستفيد منها متخذ القرار في برامج وخطط تنمية الشباب بمصر حاضرا ومستقبلا.

Youth are the most important component in the population of countries. They represent the source of their economic, political, and military strength. They also contribute to the renewal and growth of the population, and some countries suffer from the phenomenon of population aging, which researchers in population geography consider a danger threatening its existence. Egypt has a demographic advantage in terms of the high percentage of the young population in its different age groups. Therefore, this study was conducted to study the demographics of the youth of Egypt in the age group (15-29 years), who account for 27% of the total population of Egypt in 2017, at the level of the Republic and its governorates during the period (1986-2017), thus contributing to knowledge of their characteristics and benefiting from them in the plans of sustainable development in Egypt. The study examined The development of youth numbers and their growth rates, in addition to studying the geographical distribution of youth in the governorates of Egypt using some spatial analysis methods (mean center, standard distance .....) with a view to identifying the effects of this distribution and its implications on the social and economic development processes in Egypt. In addition, some demographic characteristics of young people (15-29 years) were studied, such as sex rate, illiteracy and unemployment, which contributes to the assessment and evaluation of these characteristics to benefit the decision maker in the programs and plans of youth development in Egypt at present and in the future.
