أصبحت ممارسة الأنشطة عن بعد، مثل التعليم والعمل، ضمن الأساليب الرئيسية التي لجأت إليها الدول لمواجهة تداعيات انتشار فيروس "كورونا"، فقد أتاح التقدم التكنولوجي الكبير في مجال الاتصالات إمكانية إدارة العملية التعليمية بكل تفاصيلها عن بعد مرفقة بتطبيق كل معايير الجودة والاعتمادية على المستوى المحلي والدولي. لم يكن الاستغلال الأمثل لتكنولوجيا الإعلام والمعلومات وتوفر بنية تحتية تقنية، وإمكانات بشرية قادرة على التعامل مع الانفجار المعرفي والأزمة الصحية التي تمر بها دول العالم كافة إلا أحد أهم الأساليب في التعاطي مع فيروس كورونا وما آثاره من شلل مادي ومعنوي في كل مناحي الحياة العملية وعلى كافة مستوياتها الحيوية. تطرح هذه الدراسة أسئلة حول إيجابيات وسلبيات اللجوء إلى التعليم عن بعد عبر دراسة حالة " كلية الخوارزمي الدولية"، بالإضافة إلى تسليطها الضوء على عوامل النجاح والتميز في هذه المرحلة وعلى كيفية التزامها بمعايير الجودة والاعتمادية. تأتي الإجابة على تساؤلات البحث في الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي واتخاذ أداة الملاحظة حول دور المؤسسة التعليمية (كلية الخوارزمي) والإجراءات التنفيذية لقرارات وزارة التربية والتعليم.
