المستخلص: The article aims to study the role played by the Makhzani tribes in Ottoman Algeria, as the Ottomans searched for their supporters in the rural areas of the Eyalets, so they recruited what is known as the Makhzani tribes. Through their services, the Ottomans strengthened their rule in rural areas, where these subordinate tribes contributed to the collection of taxes and participation in military campaigns against rebel tribes in exchange for privileges and tax exemptions.

يهدف المقال إلى دراسة الدور الذي لعبته القبائل المخزنية في إيالة الجزائر، حيث أن العثمانيين قد بحثوا عن مساندين لهم في المناطق الريفية بالإيالة فجندوا ما يعرف بالقبائل المخزنية، التي بفضل خدماتها وطد العثمانيون حكمهم في المناطق الريفية، حيث ساهمت هذه القبائل التابعة في تحصيل الضرائب والمشاركة في الحملات العسكرية ضد القبائل المتمردة مقابل امتيازات والإعفاء من الضرائب.

Cette étude a pour but de connaître les rôles que les tribus de Makhzen ont joué dans la régence d'Alger durant l'epoque ottomans. Les Ottomans d'Alger ont cherché des auxiliaires dans la population rurale et ils ont recruté ce qu'on appelle les tribus de Makhzen, grâce à eux, les Ottomans ont consolidé leur domination dans les régions rurales, ces tribus privilégiées et vassales et exemptes d'impôts ont contribué à la perception des impôts et la participation à des campagnes militaires contre les tribus révoltées.
