|a قاد تشومسكي ثورة معرفية في مجال اللغويات سميث بالثورة الإدراكية، فمن جهة هو لساني وعالم لغويات ومن جهة أخرى ناقد ومعارض حر للسياسة الأمريكية، ومدافع عن حقوق المضطهدين حول العالم، قامت ثورته الإدراكية اللغوية على أن اللغة الإنسانية ملكة عقلية ومعطى فطري، يمكن من خلالها فهم الكثير من الملكات البشرية الأخرى كالحرية، وتحاول هذه الدراسة تقريب هذين المفهومين واللذان يعتبران من أهم المفاهيم التي أولى بها فيلسوفنا الاهتمام والتحليل بالإضافة إلى التعليم.
