تعرضت الباحثة في هذه الدراسة لتكنولوجيا المعلومات للكشف عن مدى توافرها في مكتبات مدارس المرحلة الثانوية بمحافظة أسيوط وواقع استخدام العاملين بها لهذه التكنولوجيا، وقد اعتمدت على المنهج الميداني مستخدمة الاستبيان الذي تم توزيعه على ٢٢٨ من العاملين بالمكتبات موضوع الدراسة، وقد تكونت الدراسة من مقدمة وخمسة فصول وخاتمة، وكان من أبرز نتائجها ما يلي: 1-تفتقر غالبية المكتبات لوجود تكنولوجيا المعلومات بإجمالي (١١٢) مكتبة بنسبة (٧٣,٦٨%)، في مقابل توافر هذه التكنولوجيا بعدد (٤٠) مكتبة بنسبة (٢٦,٣٢%). 2-الحاسب الآلي هو أكثر أشكال تكنولوجيا المعلومات استقطابا لاستخدام العاملين بالمكتبات موضوع الدراسة بإجمالي (٨٣) بنسبة (٣٦,٤٠%)، بينما نجد أضعفها استخداما شبكة الإنترنت بواقع (٤) بنسبة (١,٨%) من إجمالي العاملين لعدم توافرها بهذه المكتبات. 3-جاء ارتفاع تكاليف التكنولوجيا وضعف المخصصات المالية للمكتبة في مقدمة الصعوبات التي تواجه العاملين عند استخدام هذه التكنولوجيا بعدد (١٣٤) بنسبة (٥٨,٧٧%)، وأخيرا تأتي مشكلة صعوبة التعامل مع الشركات المسوقة للبرامج والأجهزة والتي يواجها عدد (١١) بنسبة (٤,٨٢%) من إجمالي العاملين بالمكتبات موضوع الدراسة، وتوصي الدراسة بعدة توصيات منها: ١-توفير موازنات مستقلة، أو مخصصات مالية كافية لاستيفاء كافة المتطلبات التي تحتاجها المكتبات المدرسية لأداء مهامها ومواكبتها لكل ما يستجد من تطورات تكنولوجية في المجال. 2-ضرورة الاهتمام بتوفير الأجهزة التكنولوجية وتحديث الأجهزة الموجودة حاليا في المكتبات المدرسية بأجهزة أخري أكثر تطورا، والتوسع في استغلال وتوظيف شبكة الإنترنت في أداء الأعمال والأنشطة المختلفة. 3-توجيه العناية القصوى للعاملين بقطاع المكتبات المدرسية وذلك من خلال تأهيلهم وتدريبهم، تقديم الحوافز المادية والأدبية، وضرورة تعيين المتخصصين في المجال والقادرين على الارتقاء بالخدمة المكتبية إلى مراتبها.
The study investigated how available is information technology in the libraries of Secondary Schools in Assuit Governorate and the present situation of its use by the workers in theses libraries. The study is based on the field approach through the use of a questionnaire that was distributed to (228) of the workers in the libraries under investigation. The study consists of an introduction, five chapters and a conclusion. The most important conclusions of the study are: 1- Most of the libraries lack information technology with a total of (112) libraries which constitutes (73.68%) versus being available in (40) libraries constituting (26.32%). 2- The computer is the most widespread aspect of information technology used by the workers in the libraries under study with a total of (83) constituting a ratio of (36.40%); whereas, the internet is the least used aspect with a total of (4) and a ratio of (1.8%) of the total number of the workers due to the fact that it is not available in these libraries. 3- The high cost of the technology and the low funds allotted for the libraries represent the main obstacles that face the workers when using this technology with a number of (134) and a ration of (58.77%). The difficulty in dealing with the companies promoting the software and the devices comes in the end as it is faced by (11) constituting a ratio of (4.82%) of the total number of the workers in the libraries under study. The main recommendations of the study are: 1- Making independent budgets or allotting enough financial funds that meet all the requirements of the school libraries in order to fulfil their due tasks and to keep pace with modern technology. 2- Providing technological devices and replacing existing devices in the libraries with new modern ones as well as making much use of the internet in achieving various tasks. 3- Taking the utmost care of the workers in the field of libraries through qualifying and training them, providing financial and spiritual incentives, and employing the specialists in the field who are capable of improving and promoting the services in the libraries.
