| 520 | |b The Kingdom of Singhai is an Islamic Sudanese kingdom, which was located in West Africa, and passed through several political stages (an emirate, a kingdom, or a city-state, and an empire), and the Kingdom of Singhai occupied a large space in contemporary African research and studies. Almost all aspects of its history and civilization were saturated with different approaches and genres of research: description, extrapolation, analysis, criticism and comparison, but it is noticed- as far as I know- that the topic of “choosing governors” in that kingdom, and the criteria upon which it is based, have not been touched before. So I felt the need to analyze such a topic with a paper clarifying its aspects and different sides, through two main axes: the first: an introductory overview of the Sengai kingdom, and the second: the criteria for choosing the governors in the Sengai kingdom during the Asaki period. This paper relied on the analytical and historical method by tracking the conditions of the governors before the reigns of the inauguration, to find out the most important tasks and specifications that qualified them to be nominated and appointed to the state position, as well as to know the nature of the states and territories that took over their rule, highlighting all these aspects in an analytical manner away from the historical narrative. | ||
