The study is concerned with the issue of peace and security in Africa. As its absence means the absence of development and the loss of human resources, thus wasting the wealth of African countries, and the inability to move forward with development programs that negatively affect economic or political reform programs. Aware of these dangers, African leaders decided at the first African Union Summit to establish the African Peace and Security Council and invited Member States to address them. It was also discussed the importance of cooperation between international and regional organizations in achieving peace, security and stability, especially in view of the large number of internal conflicts. Considering that; the African Union is a regional organization mainly concerned with the resolution and settlement of African; conflicts. It seeks to achieve peace, security and stability on the African continent in the belief that development can only be achieved through security and peace. To that end, its work strategy was based on cooperation and coordination with various international and regional organizations, in particular the United Nations.
