520 |b The problem of the study is to "identify the level of use of teachers in faculties and information departments in Saudi universities for social networking sites. The importance of studying: The importance of the study stems from the following points: 1- The rising role of social networking sites, especially in government and private institutions. 2- The importance of the role that social networking sites can play in the educational process as one of the teaching and learning Strategies and as a tool for academic communication between public relations departments and members of the educational process in universities. 3- Distance learning and interactive education have become very important, the educational Process is no longer limited to the traditional concept of the dimensions of the conventional, but become more extensive and more interactive, and this form of communication provides the most interactive model and development of the educational Process, which needs to Further research and study. Objectives of the study: The study seeks to achieve a general objective: Identify the level of use of teachers in faculties and information departments in Saudi universities for the social networking sites of these departments or universities. This study seeks to answer a set of questions: 1) What is the rate of use of professors in the departments and colleges of information in Saudi universities for social networking sites? 2) What are the educational purposes for using professors in the departments and colleges’ of information in Saudi universities for social networking sites? 3) To what extent do those who communicate with the colleges and colleges of information at Saudi universities know the characteristics of social networking sites? 4) What motivated the use of professors in the departments and colleges of information in Saudi universities for social networking sites?  |b Type of study: This study belongs to descriptive studies. Study Approach: This study is mainly based on the Survey methodology, which aims at recording, analyzing and interpreting the phenomenon in its present state after collecting the necessary and sufficient data from it and its elements through a set of organized procedures that determine the type of data, the source and the methods of obtaining it. Study community: - The society of this study consists of the accounts of the teachers in the departments and colleges of information in the Saudi universities, which are subject to Saudi sovereignty and located in the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sample Field Study: As a result of the difficulty of conducting the study on all professors in Saudi universities due to the broadness of the society of the study, the researcher drew a representative sample of the study community and represented the three largest universities in Saudi Arabia, namely, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, King Saud University and King Abdul-Aziz University, In departments and colleges of information within the three universities. Main results of the study: The study found that the most important social networking sites used by respondents according to gender were Twitter, with 67.25% of the total number of users using social networking sites in the total sample of the study sample distributed among 70.04% of the total male sample compared to 62.75% The difference between the two ratios is not statistically significant. The calculated Z value is 1.509, which is less than the tabular value of a correlation between the two ratios with a confidence level of 0.95.
