تعيش المجتمعات على جميع مستوياتها - المحلية منها والإقليمية والدولية - عصراً يتسم بسرعة التغيرات المتلاحقة، وذلك في شتى جوانب المعرفة؛ سواء ما يتصل منها بالتكنولوجيا أو مجالاتها المتعددة كالاتصالات أو التعليم أو غيرهما من المجالات، ولقد أدت هذه التغيرات السريعة إلى جملة من الانعكاسات في الجوانب المرتبطة بها، الأمر الذي أدى إلى مجموعة من التحولات الجذرية بتلك المجتمعات. ولقد كان المجال التعليمي من أكثر الجوانب المجتمعية تأثراً بتلك التغيرات، ولعل ذلك يرجع إلى أن المعرفة ذاتها هي مادة التعليم، إضافة إلى ارتباط المعرفة بسائر مدخلات عملية التعليم؛ سواء ما يرتبط منها بالممارسات التدريسية أو ما يرتبط منها بالنظريات والمعارف، أو ما يتصل منها بتكنولوجيا التعليم كتطبيقات عملية لمعارف محددة. وإذا كان المجتمع المعاصر يوصف بأنه مجتمع المعرفة الذي تتدفق فيه المعلومات في سهولة ويسر بحيث يمكن الحصول عليها من مصادر متنوعة وكثيرة دون عناء أو تكاليف باهظة، فقد أصبحت المعرفة والإبداع من أهم العوامل المؤثرة والمحددة لقيام ما يطلق عليه "مجتمع المعرفة" الذي لا يقنع فقط باستخدام المعلومات لفهم واقع الحياة وتفاعلاتها والاستفادة منها في توجيه مختلف أنماط الأنشطة وبخاصة في المجال الاقتصادي، وإنما يعمل بالإضافة إلى ذلك على إنتاج المعرفة وتسويقها بحيث تصبح مصدراً رئيساً يحمل في ثناياه بذور الهيمنة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والسياسية. ولما كان التعليم الجامعي هو الركيزة الرئيسة في التعليم المؤدي لسوق العمل، ولما كانت التربية القنية هي أحد الحقول التعليمية الهامة لما لها من طبيعة خاصة في تناول تخصصاتها التي ترتبط بشكل مباشر أو غير مباشر بالعديد بالحقول التعليمية الأخرى التي تأخذ منها أساسيات هامة وتخدم مجالها، ولما للتربية الفنية من طابع إنتاجي في الكثير من التخصصات العملية مثل مجالي الخزف والمعادن، فيمكن من خلال تلك المجالات الدخول في المجتمعات المنتجة والمؤثرة بشكل أو بأخر في اقتصاد البلد. لذا كان من المهم وضع تصور مقترح لدور التربية الفنية متمثلة في مجالي الخزف والمعادن في ضوء متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة. وقد ركز البحث على تناول أدوار التربية الفنية على النحو التالي: - أدوار التربية الفنية في المرحلة الجامعية المرتبطة بمتطلبات نشر ثقافة المعرفة. - أدوار التربية الفنية في المرحلة الجامعية المرتبطة بمتطلبات مجتمع المعرفة والخاصة بوظيفة التعليم والتعلم. - أدوار التربية الفنية في المرحلة الجامعية بمتطلبات مجتمع المعرفة والخاصة بوظيفة البحث العلمي. - أدوار التربية الفنية في المرحلة الجامعية بمتطلبات مجتمع المعرفة والخاصة بوظيفة خدمة الجامعة والمجتمع. أهداف البحث: 1- التعرف على مجتمع المعرفة، وأهم خصائصه، وكذا التعرف على المتطلبات التي يفرضها مجتمع المعرفة. 2- استخلاص الأدوار الجديدة التي يفرضها مجتمع المعرفة على مجالات التعليم الجامعي بشكل عام والتربية الفنية بشكل خاص. 3- تقديم تصور مقترح لدور التربية الفينة في المرحلة الجامعية بمصر يسهم في تحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة. تساؤلات البحث: ما التصور المقترح لدور التربية الفنية في المرحلة الجامعية بمصر في تحقيق متطلبات مجتمع المعرفة؟ ويتفرع من هذا التساؤل الرئيس الأسئلة التالية: ماذا يقصد بمجتمع المعرفة وما أهم خصائصه؟ وما أهم متطلبات تحقيق مجتمع المعرفة؟ وما الأدوار الجديدة التي تفرضها هذه المتطلبات؟ منهجية البحث: استخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي: ثم استعرض البحث بعض المصطلحات والمفاهيم التي استخدمت فيه ثم عرض إجراءات البحث والإطار النظري وعرض مجموعة من الدراسات السابقة، ثم عرض التصور المقترح من خلال الإطار النظري، ونتائج البحث وتوصياته، وبعض الملحقات.
