المستخلص: يلعب الإعلام التربوي دورا هاما في ربط المؤسسة التربوية بالبيئة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية، حيث يساعد المتعلم على رسم الخطط الأساسية لمستقبله العلمي والعملي وتحديد صورة حياته العامة. كما أن الإعلام التربوي يسير بالتلميذ نحو تحقيق الاختيار الدراسي أو المهني الواقعي والذي يكون نتيجة ربط منطقي بين الحاضر والمستقبل، حيث يكون هذا الاختيار متوافقا مع إمكانياته وميوله واهتماماته، إذ أن الإعلام التربوي عبارة عن سيرورة تعمل على الدفع بالتلميذ إلى تكوين إطار مرجعي يساعده على اتخاذ القرارات الصحيحة والسليمة فيما يتعلق بمستقبله كلما تطلب الأمر ذلك وفي مختلف المراحل الدراسية التي يمر بها. فمنذ دخول تكنولوجيا المعلومات إلى التعليم، فقد بدأ دمجها في هذا القطاع وما يرافقه من استثمارات مالية محط اهتمام سياسات العديد من الدول، وأدت المبادرات التي أخذت على عاتقها إعطاء تكنولوجيا المعلومات مكانا في التعليم إلى نشوء حاجة لمراقبة هذه التطورات باستخدام مؤشرات موثوقة وصحيحة، وعندما تصبح هذه المؤشرات متاحة من خلال جهود معيارية دولية لجمع البيانات، عندها سيتمكن صانعوا السياسات من مراجعة التقدم الذي تحرزه بلادهم مع مرور الزمن وذلك بمقارنة ما تم تحديده من أهداف وطنية مع دول أخرى مرجعية. ويعتقد أن استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات من شأنه أن تساعد المنسق الإعلامي التربوي على زيادة فرص الوصول للتعلم، أما يمكن أن تساعد على رفع نوعية التعليم باستخدام أساليب تعليم متقدمة، تحسين نتائج التعلم، إصلاح أو تحسين إدارة النظم التربوية. فيتناول البحث بالوصف والتحليل تفعيل دور المنسق الإعلامي التربوي بسلطنة عمان للاستفادة منها في وضع تصور مقترح لتفعيل دور المنسق الإعلامي التربوي بسلطنة عمان في ضوء متطلبات تكنولوجيا المعلومات.

The educational media plays an important role in linking the educational institution with the social and economic environment, as it helps the learner to draw the basic plans for his scientific and practical future and define the picture of his public life. The educational media is moving the student towards achieving a realistic academic or professional choice, which is the result of a logical connection between the present and the future, where this choice is compatible with his capabilities, inclinations and interests, as educational media is a process that pushes the student to form a frame of reference that helps him to take Correct and sound decisions regarding his future whenever required and in the various academic stages that he passes through. Since the introduction of information technology into education, its incorporation into this sector and the accompanying financial investments have begun to be the focus of attention of the policies of many countries, and the initiatives that have taken upon themselves to give information technology a place in education have created a need to monitor these developments using reliable and correct indicators. These indicators are available through international standardized efforts to collect data, at which point policymakers will be able to review their country's progress over time by comparing the national targets that have been identified with other benchmark countries. It is believed that the use of information technology will help the educational media coordinator to increase access to learning, and it can also help raise the quality of education using advanced teaching methods, improve learning outcomes, reform or improve the management of educational systems. The research deals with description and analysis of activating the role of the educational media coordinator in the Sultanate of Oman to benefit from it in developing a proposed vision to activate the role of the educational media coordinator in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the requirements of information technology.
