المستخلص: The study aimed to identify the role of higher management in developing management information system (MIS) and their impact on the efficiency of systems performance in Sudanese banks, as well as to identify the concept of (MIS). Study problem The research problem is represented in a major question: What is the role of the higher management’s participation in developing (MIS) and its impact on increasing their conviction in the efficiency of systems in Sudanese banks. Study methodology The two researchers used the descriptive approach in covering the theoretical framework and presenting the previous studies and the field analytical method. This was done by means of a questionnaire consisting of 23 elements, which was distributed to a sample of banks operating in the state of Gezira by a random manner. The researchers analyzed and processed the data using the well-known statistical packages program (SPSS). Descriptive and analytical statistical methods were used to process the data. The most important results: There are statistically significant differences between the participation of senior management in the planning stage of (MIS) and their increase in the efficiency of systems in Sudanese banks, and there are also statistically significant differences between the participation of senior management in the stage of analyzing (MIS) and their increase in their conviction in the efficiency of systems in Sudanese banks, as well as There are statistically significant differences between the participation of senior management in the stage of implementing (MIS) and increasing their conviction in the efficiency of the systems in Sudanese banks. The most important recommendations are the need for higher management to participate in the feasibility study of (MIS), the need for higher management to participate in the analysis of (MIS), the need for higher management to participate in implementing (MIS).

هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور الإدارة العليا في تطوير نظم المعلومات الإدارية وأثرها على كفاءة أداء النظم في البنوك السودانية، وكذلك التعرب على مفهوم نظم المعلومات الإدارية. مشكلة الدراسة تتمثل مشكلة البحث في سؤال رئيسي ما دور مشاركة الإدارة العليا في تطوير نظم المعلومات الإدارية وأثرها على زيادة قناعتهم بكفاءة النظم في البنوك السودانية. منهج الدراسة استخدم الباحتان المنهج الوصفي في تغطية الإطار النظري وعرض الدراسات السابقة والمنهج التحليلي الميداني وذك بواسطة استبانة مكونة من ٢٣ عنصر حيث تم توزيعها على عينة من البنوك العاملة بولاية الجزيرة بواسطة بطريقة عشوائية، وقام الباحثان بتحليل البيانات ومعالجتها باستخدام برنامج الحزم الإحصائية المعروف (SPSS)، وقد استخدمت الأساليب الإحصائية الوصفية والتحليلية لمعالجة البيانات. أهم النتائج توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مشاركة الإدارة العليا في مرحلة تخطيط نظم المعلومات الإدارية وزيادة قناعتهم بكفاءة النظم في البنوك السودانية، كما توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مشاركة الإدارة العليا في مرحلة تحليل نظم المعلومات الإدارية وزيادة قناعتهم بكفاءة النظم في البنوك السودانية، وكذلك توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مشاركة الإدارة العليا في مرحلة تطبيق نظم المعلومات الإدارية وزيادة قناعتهم بكفاءة النظم في البنوك السودانية. أهم التوصيات ضرورة مشاركة الإدارة العليا في دراسة الجدوى لنظم المعلومات الإدارية، ضرورة مشاركة الإدارة العليا في تحليل لنظم المعلومات الإدارية، ضرورة مشاركة الإدارة العليا في تنفيذ لنظم المعلومات الإدارية.
