|a يتناول هذا المقال موضوعا دارت حوله العديد من النقاشات. ويطرح إشكالية الحفاظ على التراث الثقافي المادي الغير منقول في شمال إفريقيا، وكيف تعامل معه المستعمر الفرنسي إبان الفترة الكولونيالية؟. تطرقنا من خلال نموذج قوس النصر بوليلي إلى الأساليب والتقنيات التي استخدمت في عمليات ترميم هذه المعلمة وكذا إلى الأخطاء التي تم ارتكابها في هذه الأشغال، والانتقادات التي وجهت للعمل. ومن خلال هذه الدراسة نفتح نقاشا أكبر حول ضرورة إعادة قراءة جميع الترميمات التي تمت في المغرب خاصة وفي شمال إفريقيا عامة، حتى نتمكن من وضع تصور واضح لتطور هذا العلم بهذا المجال من القارة الإفريقية.

|b This article deals with a topic that has been the subject of many discussions. It raises the problem of preserving the tangible and immovable cultural heritage in North Africa, and how did the French colonialist deal with it during the colonial period? Through the example of the Arch of Triumph Volubilis, we touched on the methods and techniques used in the restoration of this landmark, as well as the errors that were committed in these works, and the criticisms directed at the work. Through this study, we are opening a greater discussion about the need to re-read all the restorations that were made in Morocco in particular and in North Africa in general, so that we can develop a clear vision for the development of this science in this field belonging to the African continent.
