المستخلص: تتناول هذه الدراسة ظاهرة تداولية عند أحد أعلام التراث العربي وهو أبو الحسن الماوردي في كتابه (أدب الدنيا والدين). وهذه الظاهرة هي إحدى قواعد التهذيب التخاطبي وهي (التأدب). التي دعا إليها التداوليون المعاصرون وفلاسفة اللغة. وتنطلق هذه الدراسة من إشكالية تخص الضوابط التهذيبية والتبليغية للتخاطب، ومحاولة الكشف عن إسهامات أبو الحسن الماوردي في تقعيدها. لقد ركز الإمام الماوردي طيلة خمسة فصول من كتابه (أدب الدنيا والدين) على آليات نجاح التخاطب، وكيفية الإتيان به على مقتضى الصواب والتهذيب، الذي يتقبله المستمع ويستحسنه. والتأدب مبدأ تداولي ينبني عليه التخاطب، ولتحقيق هذا المبدأ التهذيبي وضع الماوردي مجموعة من الشروط وهي: أن يكون للكلام داعيدعو إليه، وأن يأتي المتكلم به في موضعه، وأن يقتصر من الكلام على قدر حاجته، وأن يتخير اللفظ الذي يتكلم به، وهذا الشرط الأخير هو لب مبدأ التأدب. وختمت هذه الدراسة بآداب الكلام التي وضعها الماوردي تكميلا لشروط التأدب. وهي: أن لا يتجاوز المتكلم في مدح، ولا يسرف في ذم، وألا يسترسل في وعد أو وعيد يعجز عن الوفاء بهما، وأنه إذا قال قولا حققه بفعله، وأن يراعي المتكلم مخارج كلامه بحسب مقاصده وأغراضه.

The present study discusses a pragmatic feature in Abu-El Hassan Al- Mouredi‘s book “The Ethics of Life and spirituality”. This feature is one of the communicative courtesy basics that is suggested by the modern pragmatists linguists, which is “Politeness”. This study probes courtesy and speech standards and investigates the contributions of Abu-El Hassan Al Mouredi in consolidating them. In the five chapters of the book, He focuses on the mechanisms of making the speech successful and on the ways of making it accurate and polite so that the recipient consents and approves it. Politeness is a pragmatic principal that the speech is relied on. In order to achieve this courteous standard, Al Mouredi sets certain rules, which are: the speech should meet an objective and the speaker should properly address it. Moreover, the speaker should limit the speech according to his needs and properly chooses the words he might use. This later is the core of politeness act. This study ends with the ethics of speech that are set by Al Mouredi to fulfill the basics of politeness which are: the speaker shouldn’t over- praise and shouldn’t exceed vilification. Besides, the speaker shouldn’t set ongoing promises and threats that he couldn’t keep. The speaker has to say what he could do and realize and consider his speech according to its aims and purposes.
