520 |b "The celebration of the Prophet’s birthday in the Islamic Occident was associated with the transformations that had defined the region during the 7th and the 8th centuries. After the collapse of the Almohad Caliphate, the conflict over political legitimacy dominated the political arena between political successors. These political entities proceeded in the encouragement of certain projects that lend credence to their power such as taking care of pilgrims journeys, mysticism, the Maliki school, and Educational schooling, to mention just a few. Therefore, the celebration had been deeply influenced by this historical context. Although this celebration had taken a holy character, full of meanings and symbolic significance for the Sufis, it was not separated from historical reality, through the practices and rituals that the saints had initiated especially in Andalusia. The focal point of this article is threefold . Firstly, it seeks to deconstruct the concept of «the divine», as a complex cultural reality, characterised by its connection with religion, its separation from the mundane, from the fairy tale, and from the folk tale, and its deep attachment to the big existential goals as well as its impact on daily life. Secondly, it will shed light on the historical context of the sanctity of the celebration of the birth of Prophet in the Islamic West during the 7th and 8th centuries, and how it was coupled with the search for political legitimacy for the countries that inherited the Almohad Caliphate, especially after the defeat of Almassamdh in the Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa (609 AH/1212 AD). Finally, it will focus on the sanctity of the celebration of the Prophet's birthday according to the sufis of Andalusia, since the miracles of Sufis are regarded as the representation of the miracle of the Prophet, as the saints’ reproduction of the original time; the time of the Prophet peace be upon him, after the mess of the ""worldly time"" of the Maghreb and Andalusia. It will also show how these ritualistic practices had been manifested in the writings of Ibn 'Abbad Rundi and Ibn Marzouk’s Message in a Trade-off Between the Nights of Qadr and the Prophet's Birthday."
