|a يشهد القرن الحالي تطورات معرفية وتكنولوجية ساعدت في فرض تغيرات على النظام التربوي والتعليمي، مما جعل الكثير من التربويين والمهتمين بالتعليم ينادون بضرورة وجود نظام تعليمي يراعي متطلبات القرن الحالي، ويسهم في توفير بيئة تعليمية فاعلة، وتوفير الظروف الملائمة لعمل المعلمين، وتنمية خبرات الطلاب وتعزيز تعلمهم؛ وذلك من خلال تزويدهم بالمهارات اللازمة للقرن الحادي والعشرين، وقد أصبح التركيز الآن على أهداف التعليم فيما يتصل بمهارات الحياة، ومهارات التعلم المستمر، وبشكل أشمل مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين التي تساعد الطالب على التكيف مع العالم المتغير، وتعده للمنافسة والإبداع وسوق العمل. ويرى المختصون أن تضمين مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين في مناهج التعليم سيمكن التربويين من إنجاز عديد من الأهداف، ذلك أنها تمكن الطلاب من التعلم والإنجاز في المواد الدراسية المحورية لمستويات عليا، كما أنها توفر إطارا منظما يضمن انخراط المتعلمين في عملية التعلم، ومساعدتهم في بناء الثقة، وإعدادهم للابتكار والقيادة والمشاركة بفاعلية في الحياة المدنية في القرن الحادي والعشرين. وتعرف منظمة الشراكة من أجل مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين تلك المهارات بأنها (مجموعة المهارات اللازمة للنجاح والعمل في القرن الحادي والعشرين، مثل: مهارات التعلم والابتكار، والثقافة المعلوماتية والإعلامية والتكنولوجية، ومهارات الحياة والعمل). ونتيجة لأهمية مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين وكفاياتها ستحاول الورقة الحالية إلقاء الضوء على تلك المهارات وماهيتها، مع عرض لأهم الأدوار التي يجب أن تقوم بها المناهج؛ لتنمية تلك المهارات، وتعليمها للمتعلمين.

|b The current century is witnessing knowledge and technological developments that have contributed to imposing changes on the educational system. For that reason, many educators call for the need for an educational system that takes into account the requirements of the current century. Taking current century's requirements into consideration will contribute to provide an effective educational environment, suitable conditions for the work of teachers, developing students' experiences and enhancing their learning, by providing them with the necessary skills for the twenty-first century. The focus of the education goals is now on life skills, continuous learning skills, and more broadly on the twenty-first century skills. All of these skills help students adapt to the changing world, and prepare them for competition, creativity and the labor market. Specialists believe that the inclusion of twenty-first century skills in educational curricula will enable educators to achieve many goals. This inclusion also will enable students to learn and achieve higher levels in the essential subjects. Twenty-first century skills also provide a structured framework that ensures learners' involvement in the learning process, help them build confidence, and prepare them for innovation and leadership. In addition, students will actively participate in civic life in the twenty-first century. The Partnership Association for Twenty-First Century Skills defines these skills as (a set of skills that are necessary to succeed and work in the twenty-first century, such as learning and innovation skills, information, media and technology culture, life and work skills). As a result of the importance of the skills and competencies of the twenty-first century, the present paper will attempt to shed light on those skills showing curricula roles in developing and teaching them among learners
