المستخلص: يتناول هذا البحث أثر تغير المعنى بالنقل المجازي في اتساع الفجوة الدلالية بين الكلمة وجذرها، بالتطبيق على نماذج من ألفاظ تهامة منطقة الباحة. ومن أبرز أهداف البحث: بيان أثر تغير معنى الكلمة بالنقل من مجال إلى آخر في اتساع الفجوة الدلالية بين الكلمة وجذرها، بالتطبيق على أمثلة من واقع الاستعمال في الحياة اليومية في تهامة منطقة الباحة، وإعادة اللفظ المتغير معناه بسبب النقل المجازي إلى أصله بلطف، مع التدليل والتعليل ما أمكن. وقد اتبع البحث من أجل تحقيق هذه الأهداف المنهج الوصفي. ومن أبرز النتائج: أن المجاز يثري اللغة ويرى الحياة في عروقها، وله أثر ظاهر في إحداث الفجوة بين معنى الكلمة المستعملة في زماننا ومعاني جذرها، وأن إيجاد العلاقة بين المعنى المتغير والمتغير إليه يحتاج إلى دربة وتمرس، وأنه ينبغي تصحيح بعض الأحكام المخطئة الناتجة عن الغفلة عن قوانين التطور الدلالي. التوصيات: يوصي البحث بالمزيد من الدراسات الراصدة لتطور الدلالة بالنقل المجازي في ألفاظ الناس اليوم، وإعادة تلك الألفاظ إلى جذورها اللغوية بلطف دون تعسف أو تكلف، وليس ذلك من قبيل الدعوة إلى إحياء العامية، بل إنه من قبيل خدمة العربية بإعادة معاني مفرداتها المتطورة إلى موادها اللغوية.

The present research investigates the impact of changing the meaning by figurative communication in the widening of the semantic gap between the word and its origin, by applying it to examples of Tihamah words in Al Baha region. Among the most prominent objectives of the research: To demonstrate the impact of changing the meaning of a word by moving from one domain to another in the widening of the semantic gap between the word and its root, by applying examples from the reality of use in daily life in Tihamah of Al-Baha region, and returning the changed word in its meaning due to figurative communication to its origin gently along with demonstration and explanation as possible. In order to achieve these aims, the research followed the descriptive approach. Among the most prominent conclusions: that metaphor enriches the language and makes it literally applicable, and has an apparent effect on creating the gap between the meaning of the word used in our time and the meanings of its origin, and that finding the relationship between the changed meaning and the original meaning needs training and practice, and that some erroneous judgments resulting from negligence must be corrected regarding the laws of semantic development. Recommendations: The research recommends more studies that monitor the development of significance by figurative communication in the vocabulary of people today, and returning those expressions to their linguistic roots gently without arbitrariness or pretension, and this is not a call to revive the colloquial, but rather it is like serving the Arabic by returning the meanings of its advanced vocabulary to its Linguistic origins.
