المستخلص: تتغيا هذه الدراسة تدبر وصف من الأوصاف التي قيدت مصطلح القياس اللغوي في العربية، وهو القياس المتلئب، فتسعى إلى تأصيل هذا الوصف، وتتبعه في المصادر والمراجع اللغوية، ودراسة أبعاده المعرفية، وبيان الفروق بينه وبين أوصاف القياس الأخرى، وتتبع المسائل اللغوية التي ورد فيها. وأفضت طبيعة الدراسة إلى أن تبتدئ بتمهيد يتناول مفهوم القياس وأوصافه وشروطه، ثم دراسة وصف "المتلئب" لغة واصطلاحا، والتتبع التاريخي لهذا الوصف في مصادر اللغة ومراجعها، ودراسة مرادفاته الوصفية وصولا للضوابط التي تحدده في المبحث الأول من الدراسة. وتخصيص المبحث الثاني لتحليل المسائل اللغوية التي ورد فيها القياس المتلئب وتصنيفها ضمن مباحث لغوية محددة ومعالجتها برؤية لغوية حديثة. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى جملة من النتائج، أهمها أن سيبويه أول من أطلق هذا الوصف على القياس، وهو - القياس المتلئب - جزء من أجزاء القياس الاستقرائي المطرد، وأن بعض اللغويين أطلقوا عليه وصفا آخر وهو القياس المستتب، وهو ما كان مطردا استعمالا وقياسا.

This study purports to investigate one of the descriptive labels that restricted linguistic measurement in Arabic, that is Al-Motla'ib Measurement The study seeks to offer an authentic account of this term, trace it back in the sources and references of the language, study its scientific dimensions, show the difference between it and the other types of measurement descriptive designations, and highlight the language issues that touched on it. The study starts off with an introduction that deals with the concept of measurement, its description and conditions, and then examines the term “Al- Motla'ib" measurement literally and technically. It also traces the historical aspect of this term in the linguistic sources and references. The paper, in the first part, studies its descriptive synonyms and its relevant governing rules; it devotes the second part to analying the linguistic issues for which this type of measurement is used, to classifying it from certain specific linguistic perspectives, and to discussing it from a modern linguistic outlook. The study concludes with the following: Seebaweih was the first to use this kind of measurement, and it is him who coined the label Al-Motla'ib Analogy for it, as part of the inductive exponential measurement. The Study also concludes that some of the linguists gave the measurement another designation, the Stable Measurement, which was steadily and measurably used.
