|a يتتبع البحث مقولات نظرية العامل عند طائفة من النحاة العرب متقدمين ومحدثين، وفق المنهج الاستقرائي، جاعلاً من معياري الأسبقية والجدة الأساس في ذكر رأي نحوي وإطراح غيره، وعمد البحث إلى تحليل تلك المقولات ونقدها وفق المنهج التحليلي، وفي معرض تتبعه وتحليله لمقولات النحاة عمل على استخلاص الأسس الفلسفية التي صدروا عنها في توجيههم لمقولات العامل: وجوداً وماهية وتفسيراً. اقتصر البحث على مقولات إبراهيم مصطفى، وتمام حسان من النحاة المحدثين؛ لأنهما شكّلا أوليةً في رفض مقولات نظرية العامل، فيعدان أول المنظرين المحدثين لردها، عدا عن أن تماما قد اقترح نظرية يرى أنها تصلح أن تحل مكان نظرية العامل ومقولاتها.

|b This research traces the arguments of the agent theory by a group of classic and modern Arab grammarians, according to the inductive approach, making the criteria of precedence and novelty the basis for mentioning a grammatical opinion and excluding another. The research analyzed and criticized those opinions according to the analytical approach. In its exposition and analysis of the grammarians' opinions, the research derived the philosophical foundations- existentially, substantially and explanatory, for grammarians. The research was limited to the arguments of Ibrahim Mustafa and Tammam Hassan among modern grammarians because they had precedence in rejecting the arguments of the agent theory, as they both are considered the first two. Not to mention the fact that Tammam has suggested a theory that he thinks is good for replacing the agent theory and its arguments.
