المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور المجالس المدرسية في توفير بيئات مدرسية آمنة وداعمة للتعليم والتعلم، وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (682) قائدا وقائدة مدرسية، ومرشدا ومرشدة طلابيا، ومعلما ومعلمة، واستخدمت استبانة تكونت من (٢٢) فقرة، تم توزيعها إلى مجالين: المجال الأول: عن دور المجالس المدرسية في توفير البيئة الآمنة، والمجال الثاني: عن دور المجالس المدرسية في توفير بيئة داعمة للتعليم والتعلم. وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن دور المجالس المدرسية في توفير بيئات مدرسية آمنة وداعمة للتعليم والتعلم جاء بدرجة متوسطة، كذلك لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لتقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة على فقرات مجالي الاستبانة في دور المجالس المدرسية في توفير بيئات مدرسية آمنة وداعمة للتعليم والتعلم باختلاف المتغيرات (الجنس، والمسمى الوظيفي)، في حين وجدت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية لتقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة على فقرات مجالي الاستبانة في توفير بيئات مدرسية آمنة وداعمة للتعليم والتعلم، تعزى لمتغير الخبرة، ولصالح عدد سنوات الخبرة (10 سنوات فأكثر).

The study aimed at identifying the role of school councils in providing safe school environments and supportive of teaching and learning in, the study adopted the descriptive-survey method, where the study sample consisted of (682) school leaders, students’ advisors and teachers of both females and males. A questionnaire consisted of (22) items has been developed, and divided into two domains: the first domain dealt with the role of the school councils in providing a safe environment, and the second domain dealt with the role of the school councils in providing an environment supportive of teaching and learning. The results of the study indicated that the role of school councils in providing safe school environments and supportive of teaching and learning showed a moderate degree, also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the average estimates of the study respondents to the items of the two domains of the questionnaire regarding the role of the school councils in providing safe school environments and supportive of teaching and learning due to the variables of (gender, job title), where there were statistically significant differences in the average estimates of the sample of the study to the items of the two domains of the questionnaire regarding providing safe school environments and supportive of teaching and learning attributed to the variable of experience, and in favor of the number of years of experience (10 years and beyond).
