In Translation, there is still an open debate about the translatability or not of proper names in Literature, about all those that have a semantic load or that have, in the text, more functions than merely referential. This study looks at the techniques of translating the proper names into Spanish in Al Aswany's novel. In the decision-making process regarding its translation, a series of elements influence, which will have to be studied in each case separately. En Traducción hay un debate todavía abierto sobre la traducibilidad o no de los nombres propios en Literatura, sobre todos aquellos que poseen una carga semántica o que tienen, dentro del texto, más funciones que la meramente referencial. Este estudio observa las técnicas de traducción al español de los nombres propios en una novela de Al Aswany. En la toma de decisiones sobre su traducción influye una serie de elementos, que habrá que estudiar en cada caso por separado. |
