المستخلص: The study aimed at know management information systems and their obstacles in the public sector in East gezira locality, such as technical factors related to hardware and software, organizational factors, and human resources. Research problem: The study problem was represented in identifying the obstacles to the use of management information systems in the public sector from the workers' point of view, East gezira locality. Research Methodology The two researchers used the descriptive approach in covering the theoretical framework and presenting the previous studies and the field analytical method, by means of a questionnaire consisting of 21 elements, which was distributed to a sample of banks in the state of Gezira by a stratified sample, and the researcher analyzed and processed the data using the well-known Statistical Package Program (SPSS). Descriptive and analytical statistical methods were used to process the data. Conclusion of the research: There are several obstacles to using management information systems in the public sector East gezira locality, including technical, organizational and human obstacles, in addition to poor hardware and software specifications, and weak training programs. The researcher recommends the need to choose devices with well-used specifications, as well as the necessity to choose standard software, as well as improve telecommunications technical support services (internet services), as well as the need to train workers in the field of management information systems.

تهدف الدراسة إلى التطرق على نظم المعلومات الإدارية ومعرفة معوقاتها في القطاع العام في محلية شرق الجزيرة، مثل العوامل التقنية الخاصة بالأجهزة والبرمجيات، والعوامل التنظيمية، والكوادر بشرية التي تدير هذه النظم. مشكلة البحث: وتمثلت مشكلة البحث في سؤال رئيسي ما معوقات استخدام نظم المعلومات الإدارية في القطاع العام من وجهة نظر العاملين حالة محلية شرق الجزيرة. منهج البحث استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي في تغطية الإطار النظري وعرض الدراسات السابقة والمنهج التحليلي الميداني وذاك بواسطة استبانة مكونة من 21 عنصر حيث تم توزيعها على عينة من البنوك العاملة بولاية الجزيرة بواسطة عينة طبقية، وقام الباحث بتحليل البيانات ومعالجتها باستخدام برنامج الحزم الإحصائية المعروف (SPSS)، وقد استخدمت الأساليب الإحصائية الوصفية والتحليلية لمعالجة البيانات. وتوصل البحث: إلى أنه توجد عدة عوائق لاستخدام نظم المعلومات الإدارية في القطاع العام في محلية شرق الجزيرة منها العوائق التقنية، والتنظيمية والبشرية، وكذلك ضعف مواصفات الأجهزة والبرمجيات، وضعف البرامج التدريبية. ويوصي الباحث ضرورة اختيار الأجهزة بمواصفات المستخدمة جيدا، وكذلك ضرورة اختيار البرمجيات المعيارية، وكذلك تحسين خدمات الدعم الفني للاتصالات (خدمات الإنترنت)، كذلك ضرورة تدريب العاملين في حقل نظم المعلومات الإدارية.
