المستخلص: MoringaoleiferaLam has 14 species of family moringaceae. Tree grows in many tropical and subtropical countries. The seed, leaves, root and flowers of M. oleifera are often used in traditional medicine, while the immature pods, leaves and seed are used as nutrition products in human food. The leaves of this plant contain a profile of important trace elements, and are a good source of proteins, vitamins, beta-carotine, amino acids and various phenolics. This review to study nutritional constituents and pharmacological properties of Moringa Oleifera leaves. Some studies using powdered leaves preparations of M. oleifera have demonstrated anti-dyslipidemic and anti diabetic, antitumor, antipyretic, antiepileptic, anti inflammatory, antiulcer. Other important medicinal properties of the plant includes antispasmodic, diuretic, antihypertensive, cholesterol lowering, antioxidant, hepa to protective, antibacterial and antifungal activity. These activities were verified using leaf powders and extracts in animals and human. This research work would serve as a background for researches in the future
