| 520 | |b This study tackles a new aspect that relates phonology and interpretation. It indicates that juncture may cause misunderstanding and therefore mistranslation. The significant problem is in relation to interpretation as it may not be accurate because the translators do not have good knowledge of certain phonological phenomena, and this causes phonological ambiguity leading to wrong translation. Thus, the translator cannot catch the idea of the utterance. The study depends on real test that is applied to students of fourth year in Tikrit university/ college of Arts/ Translation Department, to investigate the percentage of mistakes of translation with the utterances that have this phonological phenomenon. The study concludes that the students do not interpret most of the utterance, because of their poor knowledge in phonology and its features. | ||
| 520 | |a يتناول هذا الموضوع جانباً جديداً ومهماً يتعلق بعلم الصوت والترجمة. وهو يشير إلى أن الوقف قد يسبب سوء فهم وترجمة متعددة. تتعلق المشكلة بالترجمة، فقد لا تكون الترجمة دقيقة، لأن المترجمين ليس لديهم معرفة جيدة بالميزات الصوتية، وهذا يسبب غموض صوتي يقود إلى ترجمة خاطئة. وبالتالي، لا يمكن للمترجم أن يستوعب فكرة الكلام. تعتمد الدراسة على اختبار حقيقي طبق على طلبة السنة الرابعة في جامعة تكريت/ كلية الآداب/ قسم الترجمة، للتحقيق في نسبة أخطاء الترجمة مع الكلمات المنطوية على هذه الظاهرة الصوتية. واستنتجت الدراسة إلى أن الطلبة لا يستطيعون ترجمة معظم الكلام، بسبب ضعف معرفتهم في علم الصوت وخصائصه. | ||
