The purpose of the actual study was to unfold the nature of the relationship between the big five personality traits (Neuroticism, Extraversion, Openness, Agreeablenness and Conscientiousness) and teachers’ pedagogic performance. Participated in the study 30 male and female teachers chosen from two secondary schools in Bab Ezzouar municipality. The data was gathered by means of McCrea & Costa’s big five personality traits inventory (1992) translated and adapted to Arabs’ societies by (El Ansaari, 1997) and a pedagogic performance questionnaire developed by the researcher specifically for the purpose of the actual study. The results showed conscientiousness to be the strongest trait in teachers, and a strong correlation between teachers’ pedagogic performance and conscientiousness.
