|b The article tries to show that chronic disease (cancer) is crossed by deep social inequalities in health depending on whether one is a socially introduced privileged patient who has the possibility of mobilizing his relational, financial and cognitive resources and that, anonymous, forced into social and therapeutic wandering in an attempt to cure himself. This undeniably reinforces the social inequalities in health attested by the fact that patients with medical knowledge and relational capital have the opportunity to easily mobilize information and communication technologies to extract more precise knowledge about cancers.

|d L’article tente de montrer que la maladie chronique (le cancer) est traversée par des profondes inégalités sociales de santé selon que l’on soit un malade privilégié socialement introduit qui a la possibilité de mobiliser ses ressources relationnelles, financières et cognitives et celui, anonyme, contraint à l’errance sociale et thérapeutique pour tenter de se soigner. Ceci renforce indéniablement les inégalités sociales de santé attestées par le fait que les patients ayant un savoir médical et un capital relationnel ont la possibilité de mobiliser avec aisance les technologies de l’information et de la communication pour arracher un savoir plus précis sur les cancers.
