المستخلص: The article, which we are going to tackle, is a reflection on teaching/learning vocabulary of FLE in Algeria. For that, we have chosen as a model the first middle school year. The aim is to clarify once again an observation to the didacticians as well as pedagogues of teachers of French in middle school. It is about the difficulties the students experience in the first middle school year in learning new vocabulary. These difficulties are manifested in particular by a lexical deficiency or even an absence of an evolving basic lexicon.

L’article que nous allons vous présenter est une réflexion sur l’enseignement/ apprentissage du vocabulaire du FLE en Algérie. Pour cela, nous avons choisi comme exemple la première année moyenne. L’objectif est de mettre en relief encore une fois un constat qui interpelle aussi bien les didacticiens, les pédagogues que les enseignants du français au collège. Il s’agit des difficultés éprouvées par les élèves de la 1ière année moyenne quant à l’apprentissage du nouveau vocabulaire. Ces difficultés se manifestent notamment par une carence lexicale voire une absence d’un lexique basique évolutif.
