|a تناولت الدراسة ترميم الآثار النحتية في إطار الهم الوطني (إعادة الإعمار)، في هذه المرحلة الزمنية الصعبة من تاريخ سورية، بعد الحرب والدمار الذي طال المدن السورية الأثرية والتاريخية، والتراث السوري في المدن المختلفة، وبين أهميتها، ولاسيما الآثار التدمرية النادرة نموذجا، وكذلك المتاحف، ويلفت إلى التنقيبات الأثرية غير الشرعية التي جرت في أماكن سورية عدة، كما ناقش نماذج فنية قبل الترميم وبعده، وأراء علمية حول هذه العمليات المعقدة، وكذلك حلل واقع المدن التاريخية وأثارها قبل الحرب وبعدها، والخصائص الأسلوبية والتراثية لبعض النماذج الفنية، وطرائق التعديل والترميم في ضوئها، كما حض البحث على دقة العمل؛ للحفاظ على هذه الخصائص، وتوخى الحفاظ على الهوية المحلية للتراث المعماري والفني، عند إجراء التعديلات والتحديث، في سياق إعادة الإعمار، وتطرق البحث إلى مشكلة نهب الآثار وتهريبها خارج الحدود السورية، وتوثيق هذه الجرائم التي طالت أجزاء مهمة من التراث السوري، وأكد على أهمية تحييد الآثار في الصراعات، والعمل على حمايتها دوليا.

|b The study deals with the restoration of the sculptural monuments in the framework of the national concern of reconstruction during that hard time of the Syrian history, after the war that demolished the Syrian archaeological and historical cities and the Syrian heritage in various cities. The study reflects the importance of such ruins, especially the awe-inspiring wonders and museums of Palmyra and as an example. It also refers to the illegal archaeological excavations that took place in several Syrian sites. In addition, it discusses artistic antiquities and pieces before and after restoration with scientific opinions about these complex processes, and an analysis of the reality and the ruins of the historical cities before and after war. The study also focuses on the stylistic and heritage characteristics of some artistic antiquities and restoration and modification methods. The study also underlines work accuracy to maintain those characteristics and the local identity of architectural and artistic heritage during restoration and modifications in the context of reconstruction. The research discusses the looting and smuggling of antiquities outside the Syrian borders and documents these crimes that damaged important parts of the Syrian heritage. The research also emphasizes the importance of internationally protecting such cultural property in conflicts.
