المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على دور استخدام الاختبارات الإلكترونية في تعزيز مصداقية النظام التعليمي من وجهة نظر طلبة الجامعات الخاصة في العاصمة الأردنية عمان، واستخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي المسحي. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من 611 طالب وطالبة من التخصصات العلمية والإنسانية في الجامعات الأردنية الخاصة، تم اختيارهم بالطريقة العشوائية، وقامت الباحثة بإعداد أداة لاستخدامها في هذه الدراسة، وتكونت من 28 فقرة موزعة على ثلاثة محاور، تم التأكد من صدقها وثباتها. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن الاختبارات الإلكترونية المحوسبة تحظى بدرجة ثقة ومصداقية عالية من قبل الطلبة ممن هم على مقاعد الدراسة في الجامعات الخاصة الواقعة في العاصمة الأردنية عمان، وأنها تلقى تقبلهم وتفضيلهم بشكل عال لهذا النوع من الاختبارات. كما بينت الدراسة وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى لمتغيرات الجنس والتخصص والسنة الدراسية، في دور استخدام الاختبارات الإلكترونية في تعزيز مصداقية النظام التعليمي من وجهة نظر طلبة الجامعات الخاصة في العاصمة عمان، وكانت هذه الفروق لصالح الذكور والتخصصات العلمية والسنوات الدراسية الدنيا، على التوالي. وفي ضوء نتائجها أوصت هذه الدراسة بمجموعة من التوصيات، من أهمها دعم آليات تطوير واستخدام أنظمة الاختبارات الإلكترونية، خاصة تلك التي تظهر نتائجها بشكل فوري، وتحفيز الجامعات الأردنية على التوسع في استخدامها للاختبارات الإلكترونية من خلال احتساب نقاط إضافية لها ضمن أنظمة الجودة ومعايير تقييم واعتماد المؤسسات التعليمية، من قبل وزارة التعليم العالي ودوائرها، في حال استخدامها لهذا النوع من الاختبارات.

This study aimed at identifying the role of using electronic examinations in enhancing the credibility of the educational system from the point of view of the private universities’ students in the Jordanian capital Amman. The researcher used the descriptive research approach being the most suitable one for the purpose of this study and for achieving its objectives. The sample of the study consisted of 611 students, from scientific and humanitarian disciplines in the private Jordanian universities, who were randomly selected. The researcher developed two tools for use in this study. The first was a questionnaire, the validity and reliability of which were verified, consisting of 28 paragraphs divided into three areas, and the second was a structured interview template which was used to interview 53 students included in the study population. The results of the study revealed that electronic examinations have high degrees of confidence and credibility by the students who are currently studying in the private universities located in the Jordanian capital, Amman, who found this type of examinations highly acceptable to them and preferred by them. The study also revealed that there were statistically significant differences due to the variables of gender, academic year, and specialization, in the role of using electronic examinations for enhancing the credibility of the educational system, from the perspective of the private university students in the capital Amman. These differences were in favour of males, scientific majors and lower academic years, respectively. In light of its results, this study recommended a number of recommendations, the most important of which are to support mechanisms for the development and use of electronic examinations systems, especially those that show instant results, and to motivate Jordanian universities to expand their use of electronic examinations by considering additional points in the quality assurance, evaluation standards and accreditation systems, of the Ministry of Higher Education and its departments, in case they use this type of examinations.
