The perception and production of the sounds of a language are two distinct but complementary operations, the clarification of which requires the contribution of several disciplines grouped together under the name of cognitive sciences. We will attempt to verify to what extent auditory perception in a foreign language could lose its efficiency in the absence of regular and permanent contact with the foreign language in question. To do this, we will experiment with the phenomenon with an audience of young preschool children over a period of three months. La perception et la production des sons d’une langue sont deux opérations distinctes mais complémentaire dont l’éclairage nécessite la contribution de plusieurs disciplines regroupées sous le nom de sciences cognitives. Nous tenterons de vérifier à quel point la perception auditive en langue étrangère pourrait perdre de son efficience en l’absence de contact régulier et permanent avec la langue étrangère en question. Pour ce faire, nous expérimenterons le phénomène avec un public de jeunes enfants en âge préscolaire sur une période de trois mois. |
