المستخلص: "يعد موضوع المسلمين في الصين من أكثر المواضيع إشكالية لقلة المعلومات المتعلقة به من جهة، وتضاربها من جهة ثانية، إضافة إلى صعوبة اللغة الصينية. فالروايات الرسمية الصينية عن أوضاع المسلمين على أراضيها، وأعدادهم تختلف عما تقدمه مراكز البحوث والدراسات. ويحاول البحث تقديم تصور شامل لأوضاع المسلمين وتأثيرهم الثقافي في الصين دون الدخول في التفاصيل أو الجوانب التي تشكل مواضيع خلاف أو اختلاف. فالهدف هو تقديم معلومات (صورة بانوراميه) عامة وضرورية لكل مهتم ومتابع لواقع المسلمين في الصين. ولتحقيق هذه الغاية سيتم تناول الجوانب الآتية: الوجود التاريخي للمسلمين في الصين، وتوزعهم الجغرافي، والوجود الكمي للمسلمين في الصين، والمنظمات الممثلة لهم، إضافة إلى تأثيرهم الثقافي في الصين."

"Le sujet des musulmans en Chine est l'une des questions les plus problématiques en raison du manque d'informations sur ce sujet d'une part, et de leurs contradictions d'autre part, ainsi que de la difficulté de la langue chinoise. Les comptes rendus officiels chinois sur les conditions des musulmans et leur nombre en Chine, diffèrent de ceux fournis par les centres de recherche et d'études. Notre recherche tente de présenter une perception globale de la situation des musulmans et de leur impact culturel en Chine en évitant les détails ou les aspects qui font l'objet de désaccord ou de différend. Le but de la recherche est de fournir des informations générales et indispensables (une sorte d'image panoramique) à toute personne intéressée de suivre et d'observer la réalité des musulmans en Chine. Pour ce faire, les aspects suivants seront abordés: la présence historique des musulmans en Chine, leur répartition géographique, la présence quantitative des musulmans en Chine, les organisations qui les représentent, ainsi que leur influence culturelle dans le pays."

The issue of Muslims in China is one of the most problematic subjects due to the lack of relevant information on the one hand, the contradiction of such information on the other, and the difficulty of the Chinese language. China's official accounts of the situation of Muslims on its territory differ from those provided by the Research and Studies Centres. The research attempts to provide a comprehensive picture of Muslims' situation and cultural impact in China without entering into details or aspects that constitute controversial or disputed subjects. The aim is to provide general and necessary information (a panoramic picture) to everyone interested in and following the reality of Muslims in China. To this end, the following aspects will be addressed: the historical presence of Muslims in China, their geographical distribution, the quantitative presence of Muslims in China and their representative organizations, and their cultural influence in China.
