المستخلص: تتلخص مشكلة البحث الحالي في الإجابة على السؤال الآتي: - هل يعاني طلبة قسم الرياضيات في كلية التربية للعلوم الصرفة وكلية العلوم بجامعة البصرة من قلق الرياضيات؟ - أما أهداف البحث فقد كانت كالآتي: 1-قياس قلق الرياضيات لدى طلبة الجامعة. 2-التعرف على الفروق في درجة قلق الرياضيات لدى طلبة قسم الرياضيات في كلية التربية للعلوم الصرفة وكلية العلوم بجامعة البصرة. ولتحقيق أهداف البحث الحالي قامت الباحثتان ببناء مقياس قلق الرياضيات على طلبة الجامعة استنادا إلى النظرية السلوكية، وبعد استخراج الخصائص السيكومترية للمقياس من صدق وثبات تم تطبيقه على عينة بلغ قوامها (200) طالب وطالبة وباستعمال الحقيبة الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية، تم تحليل استجابة أفراد العينة حيث كانت أبرز النتائج: 1-يتمتع طلبة قسم الرياضيات في كليتي التربية للعلوم الصرفة والعلوم بدرجة عالية من قلق الرياضيات. 2-ليس هناك فروق دالة إحصائيا في قلق الرياضيات بحسب متغير الكلية والصف والجنس وفي ضوء ما أسفر عنه البحث من نتائج اقترحت الباحثتان: - ضرورة اهتمام وحدات الإرشاد بكليات الجامعة بعقد ورش للطلبة حول استراتيجيات التعامل مع القلق الامتحاني بصورة عامة وقلق الرياضيات بصورة خاصة.

The problem of the current study is summarized in the answer to the following question: Do students of the Mathematics Department of the College of Education for Pure Sciences and the College of Science at Basra University suffer from mathematics anxiety?. the study objectives, they were as follows: 1- Measuring math anxiety among university students. 2- Identifying the differences in the degree of mathematics anxiety among students of the Mathematics Department in the College of Education for Pure Sciences and the College of Science at Basra University. In order to achieve the objectives of the current study, the two researchers built the mathematics anxiety scale on university students based on the behavioral theory, and after extracting the psychometric properties of the scale from the validity and reliability, it was applied to its strength (200) students and by using the statistical bag of social sciences, the response of the sample members was analyzed, where the most prominent results were: 1- Students of the Mathematics Department in the Colleges of Education for Pure Sciences and Science enjoy a high degree of mathematics anxiety. 2- There are no statistically significant differences in mathematics anxiety according to the variable of college, grade and gender. In light of the results of the current study, the two researchers suggested - The necessity for the counseling units of the university colleges to hold workshops for students on strategies for dealing with test anxiety in general and mathematics anxiety in particular.
