تناولت الورقة البحثية موضوع ضمان الجودة والاعتماد لبرامج قسم المكتبات والمعلومات بكلية الآداب لجامعة الإسكندرية من خلال منهج دراسة الحالة، للتعرف على مدى استيفاء برامجه لمعايير الهيئة القومية لضمان الجودة والاعتماد لقطاع الآداب. وهدفت الدراسة تحديد البرامج الدراسية المتاحة بقسم المكتبات والمعلومات وتحليل مدى توافق برامج المرحلة الأولى مع معايير الهيئة القومية لضمان الجودة والاعتماد وتحديد نقاط القوة والضعف للبرامج ومدى مواكبته للتطور العلمي، ودراسة وتحليل مدى توافق برامج الدراسات العليا مع معايير الهيئة لتحديد نقاط القوة والضعف للبرامج ومدى مواكبتها للتطور العلمي. وتغطي الدراسة الفترة الزمنية من 2009 حتى نهاية 2019، واستخدمت الباحثة الاستبيان والمقابلة الشخصية كأدوات للدراسة. وحصرت الدراسة 11 دراسة عربية ومصرية تناولت موضوع ضمان الجودة والاعتماد للبرامج الدراسية في مجال المكتبات والمعلومات. وعرضت الدراسة لمفهوم ضمان الجودة والاعتماد وأهميتهما في التعليم العالي ثم التعريف بالهيئة القومية. ثم تناولت الدراسة البرامج الثمانية بالقسم للمرحلة الأولى الليسانس وبها ثلاثة برامج، وللمرحلة الثانية الدراسات العليا وبها خمسة برامج وتم تحديد موقفهم من الاعتماد من قبل الهيئة. وتوصلت الدراسة لنقاط القوة والضعف ببرامج القسم، كما حددت المعوقات التي تعوق الاعتماد من قبل الهيئة.
The research paper dealt with the issue of quality assurance and accreditation for the programs of the Library and Information Department of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Alexandria through the case study method, to identify the extent to which its programs meet the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for the arts sector. The study aimed to determine the study programs available in the Libraries and Information Department and to analyze the compatibility of the first stage programs with the standards of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation and to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the programs and the extent of their compliance with scientific development, and to study and analyze the compatibility of graduate programs with the authority's standards to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the programs and the extent of their conformity to development Scientific. The study covers the period from 2009 until the end of 2019, and the researcher used the questionnaire and personal interview as tools for the study. The study limited 11 Arab and Egyptian studies that dealt with the issue of quality assurance and accreditation for study programs in the field of libraries and information. The study presented the concept of quality assurance and accreditation and its importance in higher education, then introducing the National Authority. Then the study dealt with the eight programs in the department for the first stage of The bachelor's degree and three programs, and the second stage graduate programs and five programs and determine their position on accreditation by the Commission. The study reached the strengths and weaknesses of the department's programs, as well as the obstacles that hinder accreditation by the authority.
