في عصر العولمة وثورة المعلومات ولما لتعلم اللغات والترجمة من دور فاعل في نهضة الشعوب وتقدمها، يأتي هذا البحث التحليلي والتقويمي كمحاولة لتقويم الأداء للوقوف على أوجه القوة والضعف في برامج كلية اللغات والترجمة (جامعة الملك سعود)، ومعرفة المعوقات والعوامل المؤثرة سلبا أم إيجابا، وعلى ضوئه يتم تحديد الأولويات والوسائل التي من خلال الارتقاء بالكفاية الداخلية والخارجية للكلية. لقد أصبحت الترجمة ضرورة ملحة لغايات متعددة، لهذا فإن الباحث يحاول-من خلال هذه الدراسة-تحديد أسباب تدنى المستوى الأكاديمي لدى عدد كبير من الطلاب في جميع برامج كلية اللغات والترجمة، والوقوف على مدى تلبية الخطة الدراسية لحاجات الطلاب. وللوصول إلى نتائج أكثر دقة، فقد قام الباحث بتوزيع استبانة للتعرف على اراء أعضاء هيئة التدريس والطلاب (من الجنسين) في خطة البرنامج الحالية، ومن ثم تقديم بعض التوصيات المستمدة-في معظمها-من معطيات الاستبانة.
In the age of globalization, the information revolution and the great role played by learning of languages and translation in the progress of nations, conies this analytical and evaluative research as an attempt to evaluate performance and detect the points of strength and weakness in the programs of the College of Languages and Translation at King Saud University. The research also aims at knowing the obstacles and factors that negatively or positively affect performance. In the light of this, the priorities and means can be set in order to achieve high efficiency both inside and outside the college. To this end, the views of the teaching staff members and students of both genders will be explored through a questionnaire. Since translation a significant role, it becomes an indispensable necessity to achieve a number of goals. Therefore, the researcher attempts to identify and study the reasons behind the decline of the academic standard with regard to a large number of students in all the programs of the college. These reasons are particularly manifested in the academic plan not meeting the students1 needs besides other obstacles. On the basis of this some recommendation mostly derived from the questionnaire are put forward..
