The present work examines a writing, which can be described as singular because it proceeds, in order to reconstruct a life impossible to present in its totality, by collage of images. It is built up in constitutive mourning which neutralizes any attempt to represent the subject in its entirety. This writing attempts to reconstruct a truth that evolves from personal revelations to a reconstructed memory whose commitment and sincerity guarantee authenticity. This modern conception, at once revolted and unstable, exclusively investigative, is based on retrospection and reconstituted memory. She elaborates a fragmented narrative that persists in exploring the intermittencies between memory and history. Our choice was based on the novel by Patrick Modiano, Rue des Boutiques obscures (Prix Goncourt, 1978), whose singular form and discourse constitute an exemplary case of literary testimony of pain and the struggle against amnesia and 'oversight. The narrator, Guy Rolland, an amnesic private detective, investigating his own past, accumulates a clue of clues and explores the places of his hypothetical story. In the course of his investigation, he tries to reconstruct his itinerary and the canvas of his existence. The narrative gathers successive hypotheses about its origins, its identity, and releases all kinds of confessions, intimate thoughts, interwoven with memories and fantasies whose staging traces possible family stories, and the destinies of marginalized. Our study develops the modalities of construction of this new interpretation of history, perpetually renewed, privileging the emotion and the memory of personal trajectories to redefine our relation to the past. And to determine the nature of this memory.

Le présent travail examine une écriture, qu’on peut qualifier de singulière car elle procède, pour reconstruire une vie impossible à présenter dans sa totalité, par collage d’images. Elle s’édifie en deuil constitutif qui neutralise toute tentative de représentation du sujet dans sa globalité. Cette écriture tente de reconstituer inlassablement une vérité qui évolue de révélations personnelles vers une mémoire reconstruite dont l'engagement et la sincérité garantissent l’authenticité. Cette conception moderne, à la fois révoltée et instable, exclusivement investigatrice, s’appuie sur la rétrospection et la mémoire reconstituée. Elle édifie un récit fragmenté qui s’obstine à explorer les intermittences entre la mémoire et l’histoire. Notre choix s’est porté sur le roman de Patrick Modiano, Rue des boutiques obscures (Prix Goncourt, 1978), dont la forme et le discours singuliers, constituent un cas exemplaire de témoignage littéraire de douleur et de lutte contre l’amnésie et l’oubli. Le narrateur, Guy Rolland, un détective privé amnésique, enquêtant sur son propre passé, accumule une somme d’indices et explore les lieux de son hypothétique histoire. Au fil de son investigation, il tente de reconstruire son itinéraire et le canevas de son existence. Le récit égrène des hypothèses successives sur ses origines, son identité, et libère toutes sortes d’aveux, de pensées intimes, entremêlés de souvenirs et de fantasmes dont la mise en scène retrace de possibles d’histoires de famille, et de destins de marginaux. Notre étude développe les modalités de construction de cette nouvelle interprétation de l’histoire, perpétuellement renouvelée, privilégiant l'émotion et la mémoire de trajectoires personnelles pour redéfinir notre rapport au passé. Et déterminer la nature de cette mémoire.
