| 520 | |b The objective of this paper is to examine the impact of financial intermediation on economic growth in Algeria during the period 1990-2020 using the ARDL approach. The results of this study indicate that financial intermediation measured by the transformation ratio (credits/deposits) has a positive and significant influence on economic growth in Algeria. Also, the price of oil has a positive and significant impact on economic growth. However, there is a negative and significant relationship between inflation measured by the GDP deflator and economic growth in Algeria. The relationship between liquidity measured by M2/GDP and growth is negative but not significant. |d Ce papier a pour objectif d’examiner l’impact de l’intermédiation financière sur la croissance économique en Algérie durant la période 1990-2020 en utilisant l’approche ARDL. Les résultats de cette étude indiquent que l’intermédiation financière mesurée par le ratio de transformation (crédits/dépôts) influence positivement et significativement la croissance économique en Algérie. Aussi, le prix de pétrole a un impact positif et significatif sur la croissance économique. Cependant, il existe une relation négative et significative entre l’inflation mesurée par le déflateur du PIB et la croissance économique en Algérie. Le lien entre la liquidité mesurée par M2/PIB et la croissance est négatif mais n’est pas significatif. | ||
