المستخلص: The history of al-Andalus reflects an era of multicultural coexistence that is unique in its experience. Therefore, in this article we try to represent to our students a real image of the cultural, religious and ethnic diversity and privacy of the Andalusian people during the Muslim presence in the Medieval Iberian Peninsula. Through poetic texts of a loving nature, we shed light on the status of the Arab, Muslim and educated woman who could express her feelings freely and without restrictions. My purpose in this article is to combine two totally different disciplines in order to benefit from them: to motivate apprentices to learn about the history of al-Andalus with its literary aspect (and its poets), and to apply a didactic method based on the task-based approach to develop intercultural competence in ELE apprentices.

La historia de al Ándalus refleja una época de convivencia multicultural única en su expérience. Por ello, en este artículo intentamos representar a nuestros estudiantes una imagen real sobre la diversidad y la privacidad cultural, religiosa y étnica del pueblo andalusí durante la presencia musulmana en la Península Ibérica Medieval. A través de textos poéticos de tipo amoroso, echamos luz sobre el estatuto de la mujer árabe, musulmana, y culta que podía expresarse sus sentimientos con libertad y sin restricciones. Mi propósito en este artículo consiste en combinar dos disciplinas totalmente diferentes para sacar beneficios: motivar a los aprendices de conocer la historia de al Ándalus con su aspecto literario (y sus poetisas), y aplicar método didáctico basado en el enfoque por tareas para desarrollar la competencia intercultural en los aprendices de ELE.
