المستخلص: تتناول هذه الدراسة فعالية الكلمات ومدي قوتها وتأثيرها وكيف تتجلي في رواية "تلك المعركة العبثية التي تقدمها للعالم" لفؤاد لاروي. تقدم هذه الرواية شابين مغربيين، على ومليكة، كان ينعما في البداية بحياة سعيدة وممتعة يسودها الانسجام والتعددية الثقافية ثم ينتابها تغير كبير بسبب التجربة المؤلمة والصادمة بعمل علي. إبراهيم، ابن عمه الأصولي، يعرض عليه طريقة آخري للحياة. إن الأمر يتعلق بنموذجين مختلفين، كل منهما يبالغ في تقدير ذاته. تحكم هذه الرواية العديد من وجهات النظر والتي من شأنها ظهور أشكال مختلفة من علاقات القوى. تمثل قوة الكلمات العنصر الأكثر ملاحظة. تتضح علاقات القوى من خلال العديد من المستويات: لغوية، دينية، عرقية، اجتماعية ومهنية ومن الممكن الانتقال من مستوى إلى مستوى آخر. يظهر التحليل أن شخصيات هذه الرواية مصنفة طبقا لمسميات معينة، مفروضة أو مرغوبة. توضح علاقات القوى أن كل شخص في الرواية يعتقد أنه الأفضل ويسعى إلى فرض وإضفاء الشرعية لممارسته اللغوية وكذلك لأسلوب حياته. من الممكن أن يظهر أو يخفي إتقان اللغة الانتماء والهوية. يعد امتلاك حق الكلام امتياز لا يمنح للجميع. تعد هذه الرواية بمثابة عالم اجتماعي معقد تتنوع فيه علاقات القوى وأنماط الخطاب. بعض الحوارات تنم عن كره الأجانب وعنصرية بطبيعتها. يتسم الخطاب الديني بالثقة والأصالة والالتزام من أجل التأثير الكبير في إقناع المتلقي.

Dans cette étude, il est question de l'efficacité et le pouvoir des mots et comment ils se manifestent dans Ce vain combat que tu livres au monde de F. Laroui. Ce roman met en scène un jeune couple marocain Ali et Malika qui mène au début une vie paisible et enthousiasmante où l'harmonie et l'interculturalité constituent les mots d'ordre, puis il subit une grande métamorphose à cause de l'expérience traumatisante du travail d'Ali. Brahim, son cousin, fondamentaliste, lui propose une autre voie. Il s'agit de deux modèles différents, chacun survalorise le sien. Les différentes versions du monde régissant ce roman font naître tout un ensemble de rapports de force. Le pouvoir des mots en est l'élément le plus remarquable. Les rapports de force s'articulent autour de divers plans: linguistique, religieux, ethnique et socioprofessionnel. Pourtant, le glissement d'un plan à l'autre s'avère possible. L'analyse donne à voir que les personnages sont classifiés selon certaines étiquettes, imposées ou revendiquées: rebeux, beurette,… Appréhender les rapports de force dans ce roman montre que chacun se croit supérieur et veut imposer et légitimer sa pratique langagière ainsi que son mode de vie. La maîtrise d'une langue pourrait afficher ou cacher l'appartenance identitaire. Le droit à la parole est un privilège qui n'est pas conféré à tout le monde. Ce roman se présente donc en tant qu'univers social complexe où se superposent divers rapports de force et diverses modalités de discours. Certains discours sont de nature xénophobe et raciste. Le discours religieux équivaut à un discours de confiance, d'authenticité et d'engagement. Il exerce un grand impact sur les interlocuteurs.

This study examines the effectiveness, power, and influence of words, as well as how they are manifested in the novel "That Futile Battle You Present to the World" by Fouad Laroi. The novel portrays two young Moroccan men, Ali and Malika, who initially experience a life filled with happiness and cultural pluralism. However, their lives take a significant turn when Ali Ibrahim, Ali's fundamentalist cousin, introduces him to a different way of life, resulting in a painful and traumatic experience. The novel contrasts two distinct models, each of which holds an exaggerated sense of importance. This narrative is characterized by multiple points of view, which give rise to various forms of power dynamics. Among these, the power of words emerges as the most prominent element. These power dynamics are evident across different levels: linguistic, religious, ethnic, social, and professional, with the potential for movement between these levels. The analysis reveals that characters in the novel are often classified according to certain labels, whether imposed upon them or desired. Through these power relations, it becomes evident that each character believes in their own superiority and endeavours to impose and legitimize their linguistic practices and way of life. Language proficiency can serve as a tool to either reveal or conceal one's sense of belonging and identity. The privilege of having the right to speak is not universally granted to all individuals. In this novel, we encounter a complex social landscape where power dynamics and patterns of discourse vary widely. Some dialogues within the narrative are tainted with xenophobic and racist undertones. Religious discourse within the novel is characterized by confidence, authenticity, and fervour, aimed at exerting significant influence over the conviction of the audience.
