|b The French language occupies an important place in Algeria and that since its introduction by the colonizer like the official language in Algeria. However, since independence of Algeria, “french language” always was the object of conflicts debates and its official statute did not cease fluctuating. She knows reinforcement in higher education, since she is the language of teaching of sciences and technologies. She is also the language of the formation of the national elites conferred on the highs schools in all the fields. Today, this language, which is part of the cultural and memorial heritage of Algeria, is being abused.
|d La langue française occupe une place importante dans la société algérienne et cela depuis son introduction par le colonisateur comme la langue officielle de «l’Algérie française». Cependant, depuis l’indépendance, cette langue a toujours fait l’objet de débats conflictuels et son statut officiel n’a pas cessé de fluctuer. Elle connait un renforcement dans l’enseignement supérieur, puisqu’elle est la langue d’enseignement de la médecine, des sciences et des technologies. Elle est aussi la langue de la formation des élites nationales conférées aux écoles supérieures et grandes écoles dans tous les domaines. Aujourd’hui, ce «butin de guerre» qui fait partie du patrimoine culturel et mémoriel de l’Algérie est malmené.
