المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على مستوى المسايرة الاجتماعية، ونمط الثقافة السائد لدى الطلاب السعوديين، والإندونيسيين، والباكستانيين، والبريطانيين في الجامعة الإسلامية، والكشف عن الفروق بينهم في المسايرة الاجتماعية، وإمكانية التنبؤ بمسايرتهم الاجتماعية بمعرفة نمط ثقافتهم، استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي التنبؤي، وطبقت أدوات الدراسة-بعد التحقق من صلاحيتها-على عينة عشوائية متاحة تطوعية مكونة من (٦٥٢) طالبا من طلاب الدول الأربع. وخلصت النتائج إلى أن درجة مسايرتهم الاجتماعية مرتفعة؛ حيث حل الطلاب الإندونيسيون في المرتبة الأولى، يليهم السعوديون، ثم البريطانيون، وأخيرا الطلاب الباكستانيون، وفيما يتعلق بنمط الثقافة السائد، كشفت النتائج عن أن الطلاب الباكستانيين، والبريطانيين، والسعوديين يتمتعون بدرجة مرتفعة جدا من الثقافة الجمعية الأفقية، في حين يتمتع الطلاب الإندونيسيون بدرجة مرتفعة منها، في حين جاءت متوسطات الدول الأربع في الثقافة الجمعية العمودية ضمن المدى المرتفع؛ حيث حل الباكستانيون أولا، ثم السعوديون، والبريطانيون بذات المتوسط، وجاء الإندونيسيون في المرتبة الأخيرة، في حين كشفت النتائج الخاصة ببعد الثقافة الفردية الأفقية أن السعوديين ثم الإندونيسيين يتمتعون بدرجة مرتفعة من الثقافة الفردية الأفقية، وأن الباكستانيين، والبريطانيين يتمتعون بدرجة متوسطة، وفيما يتعلق بالثقافة الفردية العمودية حصل البريطانيون على درجة مرتفعة جدا، يليهم الباكستانيون، ثم السعوديون، فالإندونيسيون ولكن بدرجة مرتفعة، كما آلت النتائج إلى أن الطلاب الإندونيسيين أكثر مسايرة اجتماعية من الطلاب السعوديين، والباكستانيين، والبريطانيين. في المقابل، لم تكن هناك فروقا بين الطلاب السعوديين ونظرائهم الباكستانيين والبريطانيين، الأمر ذاته ينطبق على الطلاب الباكستانيين والبريطانيين من حيث عدم وجود فروق بينهما في المسايرة الاجتماعية، كما كشفت النتائج عن القدرة التنبؤية لمتغيري: الجمعية الأفقية والعمودية بالمسايرة الاجتماعية بصفتهما منبئين موجبين، في حين فشل متغيري الفردية الأفقية والعمودية التنبؤ بالمسايرة الاجتماعية.

The current study aimed to identify the degree of social conformity and the prevailing culture pattern among Saudi, Indonesian, Pakistani, and British students at the Islamic University, and to reveal the differences between them in social conformity, and the possibility of predicting social conformity by knowing the prevailing culture pattern. The researcher used the descriptive predictive survey approach, and the study tools were applied-after verifying their validity-on a random sample of (652) students from the four countries. The results revealed a high degree of social conformity, with Indonesian students ranked first, followed by Saudis, then British, and finally Pakistani students. Regarding the prevailing cultural pattern, the results revealed that Pakistani, British, and Saudi students had a very high degree of horizontal collective culture, while Indonesian students had a high degree. While the averages of the four countries in the vertical collective culture came within the high range, with the Pakistanis coming first, then the Saudis and the British with the same average and the Indonesians came last. Whereas the results of the horizontal individual culture dimension revealed that Saudis, then Indonesians have a high degree of horizontal individual culture, and that Pakistanis and British have a medium degree. With regard to vertical individual culture, the British got a very high score, followed by the Pakistanis, then the Saudis, and the Indonesians, but with a high degree. The results also revealed differences between Saudi and Indonesian students in social conformity, with the results favoring Indonesian students. The same differences were apparent in the social conformity between Pakistanis and Indonesians, favoring Indonesians. It was also revealed that there were differences between British and Indonesian students, with the results once more favoring the Indonesians. In contrast, there were no differences between the Saudi students, Pakistani, and British. The same applies to Pakistani and British students in that there are no differences in social conformity between them. The results also revealed the predictive ability of the two variables: the horizontal and vertical culture of social conformity as positive predictors, while the horizontal and vertical individual variables failed to predict social conformity.
