المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة إلى تشخيص واقع استخدام طلاب المنح بالجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة المنورة لوسائل التواصل الاجتماعي وعلاقته بتحصيلهم الدراسي. لعينة بلغت (292) طالباً، وقد أُعدت استبانة موزعة على ثلاثة محاور، في ضوء المنهج الوصفي، وتوصلت إلى جملة من النتائج منها: أن أغلب طلاب المنح بالجامعة الإسلامية يستخدمون مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي منذ ثلاث سنوات تقريبا بمعدل ساعتين إلى أربع ساعات يومياً وتتركز غالباً في الفترة المسائية (6-12) مساء، وغالبا ما يتم ذلك عن طريق الهواتف الشخصية وبأسمائهم الصريحة. وأن أكثر الموضوعات التي يهتم بها الطلاب تتمثل في: الموضوعات العلمية والثقافية، وموضوعات العلوم الشرعية والفتاوى، والتواصل مع الأهل في بلد الطالب. بينما أقل الموضوعات تتمثل في: استخدام تطبيقات التواصل الاجتماعي للتخلص من الفراغ العاطفي والاجتماعي، والهروب من الواقع الحقيقي. وأن من أبرز استفادتهم من مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي: إنجاز البحوث العلمية، وإسهام تطبيقات التواصل الاجتماعي في تطوير قدرات الطالب المختلفة، وزيادة رغبة الطالب في الدراسة، وكشفت النتائج أنّ هناك تأثيرات سلبية بدرجة متوسطة لاستخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي على التحصيل الدراسي لطلاب المنح الدراسية بالجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة، من أبرزها تأخر وقت نوم الطالب بسبب استخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وتأثر نقاشات الطالب العلمية ومدارسته مع الزملاء بعد استخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وتأثر التحصيل الدراسي للطالب سلباً منذ استخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، وتوصلت النتائج إلى عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات استجابات عينة الدراسة حول واقع استخدام طلاب المنح الدراسية لمواقع التواصل الاجتماعي وكل من )القارة، الكلية، المستوى(.

The study aimed to diagnose the reality of the use of social media by the scholarship students and its relation to their academic achievement at the Islamic University in Madinah. For a sample of 292 students, a questionnaire was distributed on three issues, in light of the descriptive approach, and it reached a number of results. That most of the scholarship students at the Islamic University have been using social networking sites for almost three years at a ratio of two hours to four hours a day and it is mostly concentrated in the evening (6-12), often through personal phones and their actual names. The most interesting subjects of students are: Scientific and cultural subjects, the subject of Islamic Law and fatwas, and communication with family in the country of the student. While the less interesting topic is: Use of social networking applications to get rid of emotional and social emptiness, and escape from reality. And that the most prominent use of social networking sites is the accomplishment of scientific research, the contribution of social media applications in developing different abilities of the students, and increasing the student's interest to study. The results revealed that there are moderately negative effects of the use of social networking sites on the academic achievement of the scholarship students of Islamic University in Madinah scholarships in the city, the most notable are: delay in the sleeping time of the student due to the use of Social networking sites, effect on the student's academic discussions and his studies with colleagues after the use of social networking sites, and the negative impact on the student’s achievement since the use of social networking sites, and the results found no statically significant differences between the averages of the study sample responses on the reality of the use of social networking sites by scholarship students from all of the (continent, college, and level).
