المستخلص: يهدف البحث الحالي إلى رصد حالات التعثر بين باحثي الماجستير والدكتوراه في تخصصات الآداب والعلوم والتربية وتحليل آراء الطلاب والإداريين والمشرفين لمعرفة أسباب التعثر وتنوعها بين الباحثين من الجنسين وبين التخصصات الثلاثة وبين نوع الدرجة والتوصل إلى الفروق النوعية في ضوء هذه المتغيرات كذلك اقتراح الحلول للتغلب على مشكلة تعثر الباحثين في ضوء ما يقترحه الباحثون أنفسهم والإداريين والمشرفين، والبحث يعد بحثا وصفيا تحليليا يقوم على رصد المشكلة وتحليلها والوقوف على المسببات واقتراح الحلول ويستخدم أدوات وصفية لجمع البيانات وهى الملفات والسجلات والمقابلات الشخصية ويستخدم البحث المعالجات الإحصائية الوصفية بحساب معامل الارتباط والتكرارات وتحليل المحتوى وقد توصل البحث إلى وجود فروق نوعية بين حالات التعثر ترجع إلى نوع الباحث ذكر- أنثى لصالح الإناث وكذلك فروق نوعية بين التعثر بين حالات الباحثين بمرحلتي الماجستير والدكتوراه لصالح مرحلة الماجستير وكذلك فروق نوعية بين التخصصات لصالح تخصصات الآداب، وتوصل البحث إلى مجموعة من الأسباب التي تؤدى إلى تعثر الباحثين في الانتهاء من رسائلهم منها الجهل باللوائح والقوانين وضغوط العمل ويقدم البحث مقترحات للتغلب على مشكلة تعثر الباحثين منها تنمية ثقافة البحث العلمي والتدريب على بنود اللائحة.

The current research aims to study cases of delay among researchers at the master's and doctoral degrees in the disciplines of arts, science and education and to analyze the opinions of students, administrators and supervisors in order to identify the various stumbling blocks among researchers of both sexes, and the three disciplines and the type of degree in order to reach qualitative differences in the light of these variables, as well as to propose suggestions to overcome the problem of delay among researchers in the light of what the researchers themselves, administrators and supervisors have suggested. This research is a descriptive analytical research based on studying and analyzing the problem, identifying the causes and proposing the solutions, and it uses descriptive tools to collect data, which are files, records, and personal interviews. The research has found that there are qualitative differences among cases of delay due to the gender of the researcher whether male or female in favor of female researchers, as well as qualitative differences of delay among researchers at the master’s and doctoral stages in favor of the master’s stage, as well as qualitative differences between disciplines in favor of arts majors. Moreover, the research has found a number of reasons that lead to the delay of researchers in completing their theses, including ignorance of regulations and laws and work pressures. The research offers suggestions to overcome the problem of researchers’ delay, including the development of a culture of scientific research and training on the items of bylaws.
