المستخلص: In this work we take a tour of the birth, evolution and compilation of the Arab genealogy in al-Andalus until the tenth century AD. C., as one of the most important forms of historiographical writing that contributed to the process of historical codification. The objective of this research is to explore the factors that influenced the development of an Andalusian genealogical school, the role of oral narration in the origins of genealogical writing in al- Andalus, as well as the most famous authors of this period and their most relevant writings. In order to determine a clear vision of the characteristics of genealogical coding, we carried out a follow-up and analysis of the most important eastern genealogical compilations that entered al-Andalus. And we will make a comparison with those that were elaborated in the Andalusian territory. The study managed to identify the roots and components of genealogical writing in al-Andalus, which together formed the basis and pillars of the Andalusian genealogical school. Which was characterized by a methodology similar to the methodology of genealogical coding in the Islamic East. Thus, it was an extension of the Eastern school in a Western environment.

En este trabajo hacemos un recorrido por el nacimiento, evolución y recopilación de la genealogía árabe en al-Andalus hasta el siglo X d. C., como una de las más importantes formas de escritura historiográfica que contribuyó al proceso de codificación histórica. El objetivo de la presente investigación es explorar los factores que incidieron en el desarrollo de una escuela genealógica andalusí, el papel de la narración oral en los orígenes de la escritura genealógica en al-Andalus, así como los autores más famosos de este período y sus escritos más relevantes. Con el fin de determinar una visión clara de las características de la codificación genealógica realizamos un seguimiento y análisis de las compilaciones genealógicas orientales más importantes que entraron en al-Andalus. Y realizaremos una comparación con las que se elaboraron en el territorio andalusí. El estudio alcanzó a identificar las raíces y componentes de la escritura genealógica en al- Andalus, Los cuales en conjunto formaron la base y pilares de la escuela genealógica andalusí. La cual se caracterizó por una metodología similar a la metodología de codificación genealógica en el Oriente islámico. Así pues, era una extensión de la escuela oriental en un ambiente occidental.
