The researcher tries to discover which vowels and consonants can cause difficulty in pronunciation for the Sudanese students and how can the students pronounce them correctly. The study also endeavors to find the suitable solutions for these problems. Also, how can the Sudanese students improve their pronunciation and a void pronunciation mistake while they are speaking English. The population of this study were the students in Eastern Gezira region in secondary schools. The sample of the study consisted of 40 students. The researcher used a questionnaire as a tool for data collection. After analysis, the researcher got some results, first, most of the teachers agreed that Eastern Gezira students pronounce / ð / instead of /z/ and / Ø / instead of /s/ and /p/ instead of /b/ and /ʃ / instead of / tʃ / because / Ø / ,/ð/, / p / do not find in their local Sudanese spoken Arabic. Secondly, teachers agreed that listening to an international English broadcasting, watching En¬glish TV channels, listening to English words in audio aids, CDs, Tapes, using sound dictionaries and checking their English teachers, travelling abroad to English coun¬tries and being with the native people will avoid the students in Eastern Gezira region pronunciation mistakes. According to these results the researcher recommended that teaching English language should be through using English labs.
