| 520 | |b The objective of this study is to analyze the long-term relationship between energy consumption, urban population, carbon dioxide emissions, exports and economic growth in Algeria during the period 1971-2020, using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag model (ARDL) approach. In order to determine the sense of this relationship, the Granger causality test is also applied. For this, we make some hypotheses that describe the relationship between these variables. The empirical results obtained show that there is cointegration between all the variables in the long run. The study also indicates that electrical energy consumption shows causality with economic growth, urban population, carbon dioxide emissions and international trade. |d L’objectif de cette étude est d’analyser la relation de long terme entre la consommation d'énergie, la population urbaine, les émissions de dioxyde de carbone, les exportations et la croissance économique en Algérie durant la période 1971-2020, en effectuant une étude économétrique qui utilise l'approche ARDL (Autorégressive Distributed Lag). Afin de déterminer le sens de cette relation le test de causalité de Granger est également appliqué. Pour cela, nous formulons certaines hypothèses qui décrivent le lien entre ces variables. Les résultats empiriques obtenus prouvent qu'il existe une cointégration entre toutes les variables à long terme. L’étude indique également que la consommation d'énergie électrique présente une causalité avec la croissance économique, la population urbaine, les émissions de dioxyde de carbone et le commerce international. | ||
